“Great way to see the city...and cool off”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2013 via mobile

Great views and photo opportunities on these cruises. We did the 'highlights' cruise which is 1hr 15mins which was plenty for us. Some tips of you are using them...the too deck gives great views but can be very windy so you can't always hear the commentary and stay clear of the top deck seats right at the front, they are by the air con vents and blow out hit air!!

Dear Catnip 33,

Thank you for your comments about our harbour highlights cruise with us on Sydney Harbour. We agree that the best way to see Sydney is from the harbour. The top deck of our ship is the best place for some outstanding and memorable photographs to be taken.

Cheers

“Starlight dinner cruise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2013

I took my boyfriend on the starlight dinner cruise on Sunday as a Christmas present for the person who has everything. It was perfect!! Thank you so much to all the crew for an amazing night, an to the singer who was simply beautiful. Instead of buying the tickets online I got them at the darling harbour store that morning, for 99 dollars a ticket we received a guaranteed window seat and the captain clubs dinner menu, fret value for a cruise with spectacular views and a three course meal and a drink.

I was a tad skeptical about the food based on other reviews but it was faultless. I had the ravioli for entre and my boyfriend the tiger prawn salad, they were lovely, the salad was relatively small but he ate half of mine anyway so it was fine! The steak and chicken for main were flavoursome, many had said they were cold or just warm, they weren't extremely hot but we had no issues with the temperature, it was all fine. And dessert was soo yummy. Tho anything with chocolate is an automatic winner for me!!

The singer was brilliant! If you want to get up and break out some killer moves its probably not why you're after, but she had a stunning voice, sung some very romantic songs, broke out a little jaz and even sung a song in Japanese for some Japanese guests. She really was just talented.

Finally the views. My only regret was not taking my camera (I may have misplaced the charger) but the photographer tool a lovely photo of us at the start which we bought a a keepsake at least. Overall tho you get to see the bridge and opera house both at subset and lit up at night so it really was just beautiful. The star deck at the top deck makes it all the better.

A great night, would defibabtly recommend to anyone, however buy the tickets at the store rather than online to get a goo deal. They were far from booked out so you should be safe.

Dear Kristyjane16

Thanks so much for your wonderful review of your recent Captains Club Dinner cruise with us on Sydney Harbour. We agree that the best way to see Sydney is from the harbour. Our staff values the feedback from our clients and this is very much appreciated. We agree the highlight is the food, our entertainment team and off course the harbour. Keep a look out for our on-line specials too.

We hope to see you and of course your friends very soon.

Cheers

“Great harbour views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013

Because my partner was confined to a wheelchair we needed to look for things to do in Sydney which didn't involve too much walking (or in my case pushing the wheelchair). We booked the cruise on line first, which saved us quite a bit of money. We must have been lucky because it was a beautiful sunny day and yet the boat was not very crowded. Ours was the last trip of the day at 2:00 p.m. The staff helped me wheel the chair on board and made us comfortable. However, at adjoining tables there were foreign visitors who spent the whole time chatting and laughing, which made it very hard for us to hear the commentary. I do think the loud speaker system could be improved. Because we were inside I took pictures through the windows, and have to say that some of them could have done with more of a clean.
However, we did get to see some lovely views of the harbour, so we enjoyed our trip.

Dear BackinBritain,

Thanks so much for your positive review of your recent coffee cruise with us on Sydney Harbour. We were glad to read that you enjoyed the day and your photographs look good.It appears it was windy and therefore as the boat had been out all day on the harbour, this might explain why some of the windows would have had sea spray on them.

We were glad to read you enjoyed your cruise and thank you for your feedback.

Cheers

Had a wonderful few hours seeing the sights of Sydney on this relaxed cruise.
Very professional, vessel and equipment in good condition. Excellent buffet and drinks at good value.
All in all, a great day out, good value and a must do when in Sydney.

“Tour felt like an afterthought”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2013 via mobile

Our bad luck to be in Australia during cyclone season. We were desperate to fill our time (we expected to be at the beach every day) during our stay. Unfortunately it rained and rained and rained. So we decided to do a harbor tour. The 1.5 hour harbor tour sounded just right. Unfortunately our tour felt like an afterthought for the company. The boat was dirty, the sound system didn't work on the upper deck until we called it to their attention and the crew was scurrying around setting up for the next tour. We were told we could only go on certain decks and were shooed away when we accidentally opened a door to the wrong deck where other groups were engaged in dining etc. it was like we were second class citizens while paying $25 per person. I'd rate it as terrible but I reserve that for a boat ride where we run aground!

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that our Harbour Highlights cruise did not meet your expectations.

The boat has a number of decks which we use for dining and we do ask that our highlights passengers use the outside top deck for 360 degree views of Sydney or one of the other decks not being used for our dining passengers. The highlights cruise is one of our most popular and again we are sorry it did not meet your expectations and sounds like our unseasonal weather may have dampened you spirits to enjoy one of the great harbours in the world.

Sincerely
Richard Doyle
