This was a discount deal so was a good price and subsequently very good value. We went with friends and enjoyed every moment. The Wangi Queen is a comfortable and character filled old ferry. The friendly staff handed out champagne or you could get beer at the bar. Once ashore (it was only a short trip) our group went on the island tour which resulted in a late lunch. I was amazed at the buildings on the island from various eras and found the commentary interesting but not too much information. The old Harbour Master's House, now empty , is crying out to be a reception centre or guest house. What a setting for a wedding with the harbour and city all around! The gunpowder storage building was impressive. Again I could imagine a long table groaning with food down the centre under the arched roof. Our meal however was in a large shed like building overlooking the water. It was quite warm inside but the ham and prawns, salads and unending supplies of champagne and beer more than compensated. The trip back to shore was longer and again more champagne flowed along with small tasty muffins. I felt a cup of coffee at this stage would have been good but had one back on dry land a little later. All together a great day.

Well worth the time. Lovely Trip across to the Island while sipping Champagne. Then you have a lovely lunch before starting a very infomative tour of the island. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The tour finishes with a 30min crusie up the harbour with commentary, while you sit back relax and sip bubbly.

A much recommended tour to go on. The 1920's ferry takes you to Goat Island where you go on a very historically informative guided walking tour (the guides have a wealth of knowledge of the island and its surroundings). The tour includes a delicious lunch and champagne, wine and beer. I took my parents on this who had travelled from the UK. Not only did they enjoy the tour but friendships were made along the way.

Goat Island in Sydney Harbour has buildings dating from the 1830's to 1970's including convict a built gunpowder magazine, harbour masters mansion and one of Australias first water police station. The island and buildings were also used in the TV series Water Rates. The National Parks and Wildlife Service have guided tours on the island.

I persuaded our group of 7 to jump on a boat tour which included lunch and champagne, as well as a tour of a convict island. We had 3 people who were boat phobic but we were assured that the time on the boat was limited. A 3 hour return trip starting at 1pm had us off the boat by 1.30 and the next 2 hours we were touring round Goat Island hearing tales of life as experienced by convicts. It was engrossing and we all learned a lot. This was followed by a nice lunch perched on top of the hill with views over the harbour and back toward Sydney city. The staff and tour guides were excellent, friendly, helpful and approachable. The return journey took us on a tour past expensive real estate and we got to take some great photos.
I am sure that even the most scared of boats would find this cruise perfectly pleasant.
