What can I say? Everything you've ever been told about Sydney Harbour is true. It's simply gorgeous and photos can never do it justice. We did a dinner cruise on the harbour and that's a great way to see it (although do it when you can stand outside the boat, as it's hard to see much from inside due to all the reflections in the glass).

One of the most iconic locations in the world which lives up to its reputation. Lovely restaurants, arts center, strolling, shopping. It's absolutely delightful!

Nice walk to the harbor where there are tons of bars. Go in the early evening where its cooler and see the lights on the bridge and Opera House. Food was expensive.

Syndey harbor is definitely the place to visit in Sydney. It is great for amazing vistas, ability to take cruises to various Syndey neighborhoods, touring the famous Opera House, and of course tasting great places to eat at the Rocks which is the part of the harbor. The best place to stay to enjoy fully the Harbor is at one of hotels at the Rocks.

While in Sydney don’t miss the cruise around the Sydney harbour. Weather permitting, you can sit on the upper deck to enjoy the various sceneries and most of all the mighty Sydney Opera House, Sydney bridge, beautiful yachts moored at jetties. We went cruising im the afternoon so the views were great, and good for my phone camera. Of course night view could be different but hope to be able to do it on next visit. A must see when you’re in Sydney.

A great getaway right in The City.
Public transport is a breeze and we used the ferry to do the sights.
We also used the tap on - tap off cards (I think it’s called Opus and can be purchased at the airport)
so we just had to reload.
They have play areas for kids and loads of Restuarants.

If you think you have seen the harbor by just hanging out around the Opera House and Circular Quay, you are missing out. Take the ferry that does a round trip from Circular Quay around to Luna Park, Barangaroo, etc. and back. Then take a ferry out to Manly. Then, with time, consider a trip up the harbor to the Parramatta river and see Sydney from a different direction.

The harbor goes on for miles and is spectacular. The water is crystal clear.

You can’t beat an early morning on Sydney Harbour. Take some time to view and admire the harbour from the many vantage points, my preferences is opposite the opera house, take your camera and ever 5 minutes take a snap at the same angle or position, put tham all together and you get a moving sunrise. Amazing....

Getting out on the harbour is a must for anyone visiting this great city. Take a ferry over from circular quay to Manly and back again. We truly are the lucky country.
