Stayed overnight with a Wotif special. Check in was easy. Room was very good, nice size, big bed, fox sports on tv. Bathroom was large and included a big shower and bath. Breakfast was included which was an excellent buffet. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Location of hotel is ideal for darling harbour, Chinatown and star city casino. Close to town hall train station. Would recommend staying here.

We have just spent two weeks staying at this lovely hotel as part of watching Englands Ashes debacle and to do some sightseeing. At least the cricketers gave us an extra couple of days for this occupation!!
The situation of this hotel gives immediate access to the lovely Darling Harbour with its lively restaurants and bars and access to ferries and water taxis whilst being only a short walk to the main streets of Sydney. When booking we had the foresight to pay extra for the breakfast option and a marvellous decision that turned out to be!! We have seen less pastries in a patisserie and there is every option of cuisine available from Western to Asian. The egg chefs will prepare you any form of egg that you require and it is an entertainment in itself to watch the dexterity with which they make many omelettes at the same time along with all of the other forms of egg including eggs benadict.
All members of staff at this hotel are exceedingly friendly and courteous and will help your stay in any way that they can. The only small gripes that we have are that, during our stay, there were terrible problems with the lifts which caused excessive waiting times and there is no valid staircase option, this however, should have been rectified in due course. The other is a slightly strange complaint in that, the room had no drawer space! I think this must be an Australian thing as i was told by others that their hotels were the same, not ideal for a two week stay!!
All in all an excellent experience if not the cheapest but well worth the money.

Went for a midweek escape to Sydney and decided to stay at Parkoryal Darling Harbour as both Parkroyal Pickering (Singapore) and the one at Melbourne Airport have been impressive. We stayed for 4 nights.

To get to the hotel you have a few options from the airport. You can catch a shuttle that takes you nearby. You can catch the train to Town Hall station which is a short walk to the hotel, this option is handy if you have no luggage. Or you can just catch a cab which is around $30-$35.

Right away your made to feel like a VIP. Our cab rolled up and it seemed like before the taxi had even stopped, our door was open and our luggage was being taken into the hotel for us.

Check-in was fast and efficient, and everything that i was going to ask was all explained to me before i even had to. As i am part of the GHA membership program i was given and upgrade and also got club lounge privileges. Which once again, i highly recommend getting in hotels with facilities like this.

We stayed up on level 9 which was on the same level as the club lounge which was very hand, it was literally 5 doors down from our room. The room itself has a very modern feel to it, and you feel comfortable right away. Our room had a darling harbour view, and if view is important to you then this is a must.

In many of my reviews, i put a huge emphasis on the comfort of the bed/pillows and the shower. Both get a HUGE tick. The bed is VERY comfortable and you have 4 pillows. 2 harder ones, 2 softer ones, so caters for any preference. The only downside it was very hard to wake up early, as you don't want to leave the bed!

The shower head was a nice big one, with great water pressure and instant hot water. The amenities were great as well and topped up daily.

As mentioned, we had club lounge access and the staff in their are so friendly and helpful. It is a quieter area where you can enjoy a glass of wine (they had 3 whites and 3 reds to choose from) and between the hours of 5:30pm and 7:30pm you can enjoy some cocktail food, a few warmer dishes and even a beer or two. The rest of the time, you can access it just for a coffee and biscuits, some soft drink and all the basics you need to get you through the day. They also do breakfast in their, which once again, if you feel like a quiet breakfast then this is the place to be.

However, with the club lounge access you also have the option of having breakfast at Barker's (their restaurant) and wow what a selection. It was very busy on the day we went but the staff were not flustered at all, and everything ran smoothly. You have all your usual breakfast buffet items, a chef that cooks omelettes to order, but what i found to my delight is that you could get pork buns and vegie dumplings... FOR BREAKFAST!

Location is perfect, you are a 5 mins walk from the heart of Darling Harbour. I cannot say a bad word about this hotel, we had a great time.

Room Tip: Level 9 is where the club lounge is, so if you have access to it, ask for that level.

I'll be back again for any Sydney business trips. Good value for money; clean, comfortable quiet and generous-sized rooms; within walking distance of the CBD and wonderful customer service. So pleased to have found this hotel.

Had stay for 3 night from 25th Dec to 28th Dec and this hotel was excellent. The breakfast is must which has variety to offer. It is very close to CBD, Darling Harbour, Opera House, Harbour Bridge and various other attractions. The best thing about the hotel is proximity to shopping if you are a shopaholic. The interior of our hotel was above our expectation and GYM and swimming pool were brilliant. I was just bit unhappy with the deposit they charge while checking in though it is refundable but 300$ was too high.

We spent 3 nights at Darling Harbour as part of a tour. The hotel is being updated- new entrance lobby, lift upgrade and the bar was close too. However, we found all the reception staff to be very friendly and informative, nice easy check in and out, and the rooms were clean and comfortable with good beds and bedding. Modern bathroom with great shower.
Walkable to Darling Harbour, restaurants and entertainment, and ferries.
We had a room at the rear which was nice and quiet- if you take a front room, you would have to be on an upper floor to get a view of the harbour.

Room Tip: Rooms at rear have no view but are quiet. Front view rooms will only have a view of Darling Harbour...

Located close to Darling Harbour but location not worth the money. Lifts being upgraded(but never saw anyone working on them!)Was quicker to walk from the 5th floor! Bar and reception unbelievably poor(Again this was being upgraded so they said) Buffet breakfast was ok but they often ran out before the end of the breakfast period. No swimming pool or place to have a quiet drink. Ok for families who wish to take advantage of the location and the special offers for children BUT definitely not the place for couples or business people.
