Good location and quality of room. Did feel that to pay almost ten dollars for an hours internet connection was excessive. Every other hotel I have stayed in in Australia gave free internet access regardless of the star rating. Why is it that the more expensive a hotel is to stay in, the less they give you. Not even a complimentary bottle of water! Rather mean I feel!

Room Tip: Don't ever expect a good room if you are travelling alone!

The hotel is in the final stages of renovations and it was not an issue during our 6 day stay. The hotel is very modern and upscale. The rooms are new and clean. We stayed in a club room and it was very comfortable. The staff at the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was the best we have had in this type of hotel. The Club Lounge has a great view of the harbour and is a nice place to watch the fireworks on Saturday nights.
The only difficultly was controlling the temperature in the room but it was not an issue for us.
Lots of restaurants in the area.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Get the directions for the back way to the harbour and save a few minutes walk.

it was my first time staying at ParkRoyal and i love it! we were in midnight flight from Perth and arrived at 6am in the morning, after breakfast, we tried to go to receptionist and check in, we knew we shouldnt get any room before 12 or 1 pm, but the receptionist there was very helpful and friendly. She did an excellent job and made us get the room as soon as one of the room empty and put us in at 10am. She understands that we were tired and exhausted and all we want just to have good sleep.
Room is amazing, even have renovation, but didnt bother us at all. I went there with my husband and a year old baby boy and we had great sleeps there.
Location is the best near darling harbour and made easy for us to go anywhere just by walking!
Definitely will come back again

It's a very good location for Chinatown and Darling Harbour. The Town Hall in George Street is not far away as well. There is a shuttle service from the airport, which is very reasonable at $14 each way and very convenient. The hotel staff were consistently good and reliable. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were a good size.

We were given a room on the 3rd floor with a very uninspiring view of the backs and rooftops of some buildings, but I suppose it depends on how much you spend if you want a view. I suspect the location of the hotel limits the opportunities for a view (the adverts make it look fabulous), but it sits between busy south central Sydney and some busy flyover freeways.

For the most part the hotel was a good experience and there was nothing to complain about, but the hotel lacked any soul. It was just practical, but uninspiring. I realise they have more renovations to complete in the common areas, and hopefully that will help boost the hotel's appeal. The breakfast was very expensive and obviously not included. The hotel's dining areas appeared to be mostly empty.

It was essentially a 4 star hotel in a convenient location and if you score a good deal then you will enjoy the sights of Sydney, but you probably won't rave about your hotel!

This hotel was very clean. It is under construction, but that didn't seem to cause any problems. It is a great location and a great price. We stayed at a place twice as expensive down the road and it was a dump. This place is great. Not fancy, but a good value.

Although they are going through a major renovation, it did not affect us at all. The only inconvenience was that we needed to go outside from the lobby to get to the elevators and to the restaurant, but the walk was just a few steps and the area covered. The room we had was newly remodeled and very nice. The bathroom was great with a separate soaking tub and a shower with a rain shower head. The room was large and the beds very comfortable. The desk staff and the consigner were wonderful. they would answer any small question or request with a smile. The breakfast presented a lot of variety and my favorite, was making my own fresh squeezed juice!Very convenient to Darling Harbor, the Chinese Gardens and eateries. Join the GHA club to get free wifi - no cost!

Room Tip: Make sure it has been remodeled!

Recently stayed here over the weekend with my sister. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful (especially in the restaurant). Joined the GHA club just prior to staying in order to get fee wifi (it's free to join). Rooms were spacious and newly refurbished. We stayed in a room without harbour views, but that didn't really worry us as we were only in the room to sleep anyway. Hotel is within walking distance to Darling Harbour and Town Hall train station as well as many restaurants and shopping precincts.
