Stopped here for a short time on a day trip visiting all the beaches in the area. We were taken around by a friend, Coogee beach is, although not as good as some of the specials in Sydney, but it was clean and pretty.

Coogee is a seaside resort about 8 Kilometres east of the centre of Sydney . It is not as big and brash as its big sister Bondi which can be reached either by road or by a beautiful cliff walk. It .has a very fine beach and a lovely promenade. There are plenty of shops restraunts and bars of all types. Transport to the city is very frequent from near the beach, for someone st over a week the best option is a weekly ticket costing 44 Australian Dollars which can be used on all buses to the city and suburbs, city trains and the habour ferry to Manly and Cockatoo Island both which gives wonderfull views of the Sydney Habour

Oh what a gorgeous little town this is!

Its like the less famous sibling of Bondi yet offers just as much, if not more than Bondi!

Beautiful clean sand and water, cliffs, a massive beach, great park, main street, walking track and views that are simply beautiful.

Large grass areas for dogs to run, rocks for couples to sit out on for a romatic picnic, sunrise viewing is wonderful and so many options for a place to eat or rest your head.

Our visit in July gave us a weekend of 2o9 degrees - nice winter weather!

Yep, I love this little town and will always pick it over Manly and Bondi.

Its such a nice community area, and a great beach. The area is very nice and there are lots of cafes and shops to enjoy. If you are visiting sydney and want to an area where there aren't really any tourists, its a great place to come. filled with locals and is very australian
