On a sunny afternoon in Sydney, these botanical gardens offer a green respite from the busy streets of downtown. We only had time to visit a few of the areas in the park, and we were impressed. The plants are well marked and beautifully arranged along easy to stroll walking paths. Our kids had a great time scampering around the boulders and paths as well as stopping to see some of the unusual plants. There was always another statue, pond, or flowerbed to see around each corner along the path. We walked out along the point to Mrs Macquaries Chair and enjoyed the great views of downtown Sydney, the Opera House, and the Harbour Bridge across the water. We saw boats cruising by and could get down to the water in spots.
