On a sunny afternoon in Sydney, these botanical gardens offer a green respite from the busy streets of downtown. We only had time to visit a few of the areas in the park, and we were impressed. The plants are well marked and beautifully arranged along easy to stroll walking paths. Our kids had a great time scampering around the boulders and paths as well as stopping to see some of the unusual plants. There was always another statue, pond, or flowerbed to see around each corner along the path. We walked out along the point to Mrs Macquaries Chair and enjoyed the great views of downtown Sydney, the Opera House, and the Harbour Bridge across the water. We saw boats cruising by and could get down to the water in spots.

We didn't get to see all of the gardens. And that is after going on two separate days. What we did see was gorgeous. The views of the Harbour are some of the best. The gardens themselves are diverse. There is so much to do and see. It is hard to describe. It is best if you just go and see for yourself.

The gardens are simply gorgeous. It is so incredible that the Government has left this prime real estate (outstanding harbor vies) untouched and untouchable. The variety of gardens, ponds and trees are amazing and it is just minutes away from the bustle of CBD and Opera House. A great way to walk through on the way to Darlinghurst or other parts of Sydney.

There are no words to describe this place. All the colors of the plants, wide grases, tropical trees, the opera view and the water in between. WOW !
