Owner description: Spanning the city center to the North Shore, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is a wide steel arch bridge known for its beauty as well as function, providing a crossing for cars, trains, bikes and pedestrians. While the more daring can do the BridgeClimb to the top of the structure, opened to traffic in 1932, anyone can enjoy a walk for free.

That is probably the best word you can use to describe the bridge. We were lucky that we had a view of it too from our hotel room so literally saw it at all times of the day.

Sydney Harbour Bridge is best viewed from a boat or ferry - on a beautiful sunny day or at night when Sydney is 'turned on'. It is at its best (I believe) when on show every New Year's Eve! Being not so fond of heights, I have never climbed it but everyone I know who have braved the ascent only have superlatives to describe the experience.

There are 2 main things you can do as part of your visit to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Firstly you can walk over it. This is about a 25 minute walk and invoves some stairs but not too many. The walk is nice and gives you a good view of the city and harbour but there is a lot of traffic noise and some exhaust fumes from nearby vehicles.
Secondly you can climb the bridge on "bridge-climb". This is a well organised adventure and provides the visitor with spectacular scenic views, although there are some steps involved but if you are used to moderate walking you should not find any problems.

Anyone visiting Sydney should have the Harbour Bridge on their attraction list. even if you don't intentionally want to see it, you will from the main roads before entering the city. For those who don't have e-tags and don't know the city well, always end up driving on it! The bridge connects the city to the north side of Sydney. You can drive on it, walk across it, catch a train across it and even climb the bridge! If you want to see all of Sydney in a day with ultimate 360 views, I advise taking the bridge climb. the view from the top is amazing and you can even see as far out as the blue mountains. Take some warm clothes too because it is really windy. if you are uncomfortable taking the bridge climb, walk across the bridge. Many of our staff members at Tile Factory Outlet have done the walk and advise taking a good pair of walking shoes and a bottle of water. Once you cross the bridge to the north side, there are a few good little boutique eateries and cafe's at Milsons Point. If you have the kids with you, take them to Sydney's amusement park, Luna Park. Guranteed fun day out. If this was helpful to you please leave a helpful vote.

This is a old style bridge, i really didnt find it very special. It looks good though. The surroundings are even better. From the bridge you can have a good view of Sydney city, harbour side, Opera house.

But just the bridge, I didnt find it that special as people say.
