Bondi's popularity cannot be denied amongst locals and tourists, but once I got there I really didn't see what was so special about it... It is a beautiful beach, but crammed full of people and the currents too strong to swim in. I would recommend taking the walk from Bondi to Coogee and relaxing in one of the many smaller beaches you will encounter, such as Bronte or Gordon's Bay.

Bondi Beach is comfortable. Can relax in the sand, or swim, or walk... The atmosphere is relaxing and energizing at the same time. Lots of great dining options and shops across the street. It was fun watching all the surfers at sunrise and sunset.

If you see one beach in Sydney, make it Bondi. Beach snobs might tell you otherwise, but you know you'll kick yourself if you don't.

Yes, it's a pretty ordinary beach, as far as beaches go. There is sand. There is the ocean. There is a half empty promenade. There are ice cream shops, a place to get a burger, warm water to swim in and the fact you don't see Manly Beach shirts on people all over the world. You don't want to answer no when your friends ask excitedly, "Did you go to Bondi?"

It is easy to get to from pretty much anywhere and its full of beautiful people doing beach things. There is also free wifi.

Beautiful beach and there are a lot of good sculptures, artistic pieces and designs along the walkway. Spend time walking so you can appreciate the view. Transportation is easy as there are buses in Bondi Junction.
