This is a spectacular way to get some exercise and fresh air while taking in the stunning water views. We came on a Saturday morning and walked from Manly to Forty Baskets, had a meal at Forty Beans Cafe and then walked back. There are public toilets and drinking water fountains at either end and the walk took us a leisurely half an hour each way.

Visit Manly Corso and then take a walk along the southern end of the beach and follow the path around to Shelley Beach past the Blue Pool. There is coffee and food along the way or at the end of the walk if you wish to stop and people watch.

The sun always shines in Sydney...and our walk here was on a beautiful morning with few crowds around. The views are breathtaking over the ocean. And of course even more impacting for a UK tourist. Although we have stunning coastline in England...it doesn’t beat the Pacific....

We spent a nice half day walking from the spit to Manly. We took our time to enjoy all the view and different beaches. Finished up in Manly for a late lunch before going home. Greatly recommended.

If you have limited time and Sydney and want to experience the beauty of its coastal nature, this 10k is a must! The walkways are well maintained and in general quiet easy. Once in a while you need to walk across rocks but mostly there is a well maintained pathway. After 3k the climbing start via staircases. The signage recommands 2 to 4 hours and this is definetely the case. If physical excercise is what you want (lot of people I crossed where running ) you can do it in 2 hours or less but if you want to absorb the beauty and enjoy once in a while a swim in the secluded bays foresee sufficient time!

Manly Ferry from Circular Quay to Manly, sit on the beach even if its cool, and then head for this walk way, to the R side of the end beach as you face the sea.
Its quiet, stunning views, and never really crowded, as not many people know of it.
Alone or with friends it is breezy, fantastic views across the coast and out to see, and a few wildlife like Lizards to welcome you.
Have a coffee at one of the cafes nearby, or a meal at the many places to eat, and really get some space, good air, and enjoy this treasure.

Walked along the walkway. It was quiet, and the scenery was incredible. Stopped for lunch at a small coffee on the walkway, and was able to enjoy the ocean and a good lunch. A bit further, we stopped for a capaccino, again with a view! Very relaxing, and an easy stroll. Not many climbs...

Took the ferry to Manly, picked up a picnic at the supermarket and took the walk to the spit. Nice views along the route. In places not quite clear where the path goes especially at the Manly end near the houses. A bit tricky finding the bus stop at the spit end to get back into the city.

Very beautiful walk with a lot of shops to poke around in. Easy distance from the ferry and many eateries.

We went for a half day and it was excellent to walk and take a good lunch. Many restaurants on the SEA street.
