Everyone keeps talking about Manly in Sydney so much that we had to visit the area, just 20 minutes by ferry from Circular Quay. Sadly , was a really hot day and quite crowded. We decided to do the entire scenic walkway which started off well but after a while we realised its quite a loooong walk and going to be very hectic as most of it is through national parks, dense forest type areas and the beginning north head mountain climb took away most of our energy. Directions and maps are not easy to find but we did hold on to some maps and brochures from Manly wharf which helped give us some sense of direction. The walk is great if you're fit and young and able to walk in heat for ~ 3-4 hours. There are some real great benefits too like the different beaches along the way - some with families, some with young crowds, etc and great picturesque backgrounds for photo clicking too.
