Take ferry to Manly, for a great cup of coffee, go to Barefoot coffee traders. Best coffee during our stay in sydney. Lunch at Manly Grill, overlooking the beach.
Then a lovely walk to Shelley Beach.. Wow..
All in all a great day out.

A nice seaside resort that still feels like it is still in the 70s. That's its charm. There are some concessions to modernity with modern eating houses but you can still get good fish and chips. Enjoy the views!

The path from Manly Beach to Shelly Beach is a delightful, short walk (about 1.3 km) that ends up in a small cove that is awesome for swimming, snorkeling and diving. Locals and tourists alike walk along this path, where you'll find some wonderful photo stops of blue water and coastal flora/fauna. Several Sea Dragon reptiles habitat alongside the path as well, attracting crowds of cameras and by-standers.

The path starts at the south end of Manly Beach just past the Manly Surf Pavilion. There, you'll enter the Cabbage Tree Eco Foreshore Walk (look for the small eco sculptures representing marine and wildlife that sit on the walls next to the path) and find some great spots to sit on the rocks, relax on a shady bench or grassy knoll, or even swim in the Fairy Bower Baths ocean pool. Several restaurants and cafes also line the walk for a cool drink/snack stop along the way.

To access the path from the Manly ferry, stroll leisurely through "The Corso" (directly across the street from the Ferry Building) straight down to Manly Beach, make a right (south), and walk down to the Manly Surf Pavilion. Proceed left, and you're on your way. Enjoy !!

Walk was easy and not very far. I really loved the idea of a pool being built in the sea, with sea water coming into it. You could experience an ocean swim without worrying about creatures or stepping on something. Lots of weddings being photographed on a Sunday.
