We stayed here for 4 nights during our months honeymoon in Australia. The staff on check in and throughout our stay were very helpful and friendly. The room was basic and the bathroom quite small to be honest. We received a bottle of wine in a nice bucket for our honeymoon which was a nice touch.
The location is very good, close to all the attractions in terms of walking distance and close to the underground station.
Negative is wifi which seems to be quite common in Australia that it isn't readily available like it is in the IS, UK and China; ie free and offered throughout the hotel. On this occasion at this hotel you do get 30 mins free per 24 hours for 2 devices per room and only available in the lobby. So you find in the evening lots of people sat in the lobby on phones, iPads etc. Outside of the the free time there are 4 computer terminals but the rate is very expensive. It is quite inconvenient in the modern age where 99% of people have wifi enabled gadgets that you can't use them and are restricted to a specific area and time frame.
Other than that, you get what you pay for and it is a Travelodge, ultimately you don't spend a lot of time in your room but out in the city so for somewhere to sleep it was good.More
