Every time I visit Sydney I like to have a walk through the Rocks..and preferably a meal and a couple of drinks. A fantastic spot very close to the iconic harbour bridge and opera house.

Located in the heart of the city centre, The Rocks represent a nice and lively historical area full of nice and interesting places: curious shops, restaurants and pubs, nice nuildings, and also a few hidden sites where the history of this part of the city is described on panels. I recommend a visit to the shop of the Museum of Contemporary Art.

The Rocks is located near the area of the Harbor bridge. It is a small area that is the oldest part of Sydney. There is a small museum called Susannah Place. It had limited tour hours and cost about ($8 aus) for a guided tour. It has been around since 1844. The area was built on the harbors rocky area, hence the name the "Rocks" it is a bit hilly and narrow. There are many restaurants and shops in this historical area. It is a very different part of Sydney, but nice just the same.
