Darling Harbour has some fab bars and restaurants and a lively atmosphere. There is a free fireworks show at 9pm on a Saturday night - well worth seeing.

Some nice eateries here, but most are very busy all day and night. Not as good value as other places. Easy to get to on the monorail or by the shuttle bus, or an easy walk from the CBD.

We took in the "Legally Blond " stage show (great)and had early dinner harbour side before hand. There are so many restaurants to choose from both at the Kings Wharf side and near the Convention centre you feel spoilt for choice.
If you just want to people watch it is mesmerising too.

Went back for a second dinner just for the atmosphere

Lots of stores and things to see, but expensive and chain oriented. Almost feels like a mall. Directional signage could be better. Took suggestion of one store owner and went to Fish Market (about 15 minute walk). Really good food.

Loved the variety, from museums to monrails to eating establishments. Highlights were the Matitime Museum with its wide variety of crafts and artifacts, and the promenades, which were clean and lively. Wide choice of cafes and restaurants to suit most tastes and pockets.
Felt the monorail was an opportunity lost, with trains too small, too slow, too infrequent and too expensive. An essential destination for every tourist with a little time to spare.
