“Gone downhill; avoid!”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

Was very disappointed with the cheap and gimmicky feel to the place. The educational value has gone; they seen to care only about throughput.

They have trashed the final viewing room. It used to be a nice quiet place to watch the fish but they have added some stupid loud dance video on a loop. They have removed the individual tank info and replaced it with a single touchscreen shared between 4 or 5 tasks and you just can't get near them. The croc is gone, the Australian natives are mostly gone and some of the displays have extremely loud music and sound effects. The layout is terrible if you want to take your time and there is almost no where to sit and enjoy the fish.

I used to try and visit once a year; but I think will be our last.

“Good place to take children. Not much else for adults.”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

Have been to Manly's Oceanworld (now Manly Sealife Sanctuary) many many times. Find it better. Easy to get to from ferry, beach nearby, low cost food nearby. If I had children, I'd take them here. Quieter and easier to move around.

“WOW!”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

Largest display of sea horses I've ever seen! I had no idea there were so many different types of sea horses. They also have sea dragons which I had never seen before.

“WOW!”

The largest display of sea horses I've ever seen! Also have 2 manatees and a large shark tank. We spent about 3 hours here and it went by very quickly. Penguins, sea dragons... I could go on and on! We were very happy we went to this attraction. Also, if you book online you can get anywhere from 5-20% off admission tickets!

“Large aquarium but too busy to enjoy”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

We crawled around this aquarium during the Easter holiday weekend and consequently found this to be a bad decision as it was far too busy to enjoy. The various tanks were interesting but the large attendance ruined the experience. Therefore, take note if you are in Sydney on a busy holiday period.
