This historic building could be put to greater use so that it can become more of an attraction. At the time I last visited the only notable thing was the library. Somehow I didn't get the feeling that its history was much appreciated.

after a long day at the zoo and back to the quay, we stumbled upon Customs House and there are nice comfy seats and restroom. And some local and overseas past newspapers. The second level is a library. Apart from that nothing much else except that the building has some historical importance. And there is free wifi! Albeit the speed slow. Free wifi is a rarity in modern Sydney. The staffs manning the info counter is not too knowledgeable on the surrounding areas.

This is a great place to check on tourism matters, or just to rest for a while or to have a drink at the ground floor cafe. If you prefer to read newspapers, there are tons from the Pacific Rim, including from New Zealand and Tasmania. If you get a chance, you should also check out Cafe Sydney upstairs for a quick meal - try to get one of the outside tables so that you have a great harbor view. (Reservations are recommended, especially at the weekend) Do also check out the model of Sydney which can be viewed through the ground floor glass panels.

Beautiful architecture and located right on Circular Quay. Ground floor is the library with not to be missed street scape of Sydney under the glass floor. Great coffee shop and upstairs Cafe Sydney, which is the best restaurant night view of Sydney's lights and the Quay that nthere is.

Well appointed opposite Circular Quay, the foyer has a stunning architectural model of the city set below floor-level, an excellent library can be found on the mezzanine floor and, most of all,our favourite Sydney restaurant, Cafe Sydney is located on the 5th floor .. highly recommend.
