FREE general admission. Most of the gallery is modern and contemporary art which I don't always understand but there were a few cool pieces. There's also art from Asian as well as 15-19th century European and Australian art. Photos without flash are allowed and everything but small purses must be checked (for free) and the door.

Free entry to the museum with its many collections to view - Modern, Contemporary, Aboriginal, Classics, Australian ... The cafe overlooks a quite section of the Domain/Botanical Gardens with glimpses over the rooftops of the suburb below, you know the harbour is there ... The cafe has a selection of meals and snacks, with coffee and other refreshments. Well worth a visit. This is a space to relax and enjoy the talents of others.

Great Australian artists and a good selection of Modern Art / Classic art. Like Tate Modern and Britain all in one building. Restaurant worth going to too. The café did some good coffee and teas.

Most wonderful collection of art worth seeing even on a warm autumn day especially after coffee and picnic in the gardens.

The Archibald had 4 very good works (not including the winner), the Sullman was much more interesting but the work judged the winner certainly wasn't among the best 5 and the Sullman is best avoided altogether. I don't know whether it is a lack of taste, ignorance or poor eyesight but we need some new judges for next year!
