Hotel is in a great location, a short walk to the Rocks Restaurants. Valet Parking was friendly, efficient and very reasonable. We were unexpectedly upgraded to very nice suite overlooking Walsh Bay, which gave us a fantastic view of the storms smashing Sydney on the Saturday morning.

The place has a good feel about it.

This hotel is in a great location. Under the Harbour Bridge within easy walking to The Rocks, Circular Quay, Opera House a 15 minute walk across the bridge to Milsons Point.
The rooms are fairly small but the harbour side rooms have great views. The bathrooms are really average - there was always a 'wastewater' smell which was very really awful. The showers over the bath really hard to 'climb' out of and pressure in the shower pathetic.
Breakfast was disappointing for a hotel of this standard but service was very good.

Overall was a good stay, and the location was unusual and allowed for romantic strolls under the bridge up to the rocks.

It was a shame when we first arrived, all excited , to be greated by a less than friendly or helpful valet man, who simply stood there, could not spell our surname, and watched as me (pregnant) and my husband struggled with bags when his only concern was what time we would collect the car the next day. I was rudely informed it could not be the 24 hour period following (we arrived at 5pm) and to after paying $35 for valet, had to then find our own parking from 10am then next morning. When I called prior to arriving I was not told this by the hotel, hence why we decided to bring the car. Very dissapointing first impression.

We proceeded to check in and had a nice meal in the dining area on the wharf where they did sing happy brithday, nice touch.

Check out was confusing due to the car situtaion, however when we came to the desk to
collect the car a lovely man named Michael was very helpful and friendly.

One last comment regarding the toilets in the room which had a very very loud flush, almost 'aeroplane' style, which seemed a bit over kill. Apart from that the rooms were very quiet.

Had an overnight stay in January. Requested a quiet room with a view and that is what we received. Could not fault the service on check in and check out.
Had dinner at the hotel in the evening, was warned that service would be slow due to a sick leave matter, however alot slower than we thought. Food was excellent and we will be back. Thankfully we had the 50% discount on food.
Breakfast good.
Would stay again.

One problem is the toilet, very loud and extremely hard to actually flush (for elderly or children). Sounded like a toilet on an aircraft. Otherwise great stay I loved the views, I will most definitely stay there again.

Must say this hotel exceeded my expectations, didn't really know what to expect but I'd walked past the hotel so many times (I live in Sydney) without ever setting foot inside.

Our room was on the top floor overlooking the harbour, with sensation harbour views, and ferries that go by seemingly just outside the window. It may not overlook the trendy side of Sydney Harbour, but still sensational. You hardly feel you're in the centre of a big city but you are! The comfy lounge next to the window was fantastic to lay in just to watch ferries, water taxis etc go past - sometimes you think the ferry passengers can see right into your room!!!

Whilst the room is modern and everything you'd expect at this price and location, the exposed beams of the heritage Pier One structure just adds to the character without feeling you're in an old structure. Love it!

Room Tip: Any overlooking the water, especially towards the northern end closer to the "action".

We recently stayed one night to enhance a visit to Sydney Theatre and the location of this hotel cannot be bettered. However, from the beginning, we were underwhelmed by the facilities and customer service. The valet parking was efficient, although our car was merely parked in the open by the side of the hotel, not at all secure. But as I dragged my bag up the stairs to the foyer, I did wonder why there wasn't someone there to offer to help (perhaps because it was a smallish bag due to our short stay). However, our room was a major disappointment - literally in the shadow of the Harbour Bridge, it was dark and gloomy. The carpet was stained and the room was totally bland. The grouting in the bathroom was falling out and the toilet was a "vacuum" type like on airplanes, due I guess, to the hotel being built on a wharf. However, I noticed the toilets at the local bar (Bar at the End of the Wharf, {Wharf 4} which was absolutely fabulous had normal plumbing facilities. We had purchased a breakfast package which was okay but the dining room was very small, and crowded. All in all, considering we paid standard rates so it wasn't a bargain deal, it was disappointing and I wouldn't stay there again. Even the Novotel had more charm and that's saying something!!

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the Harbour
