Old school charm definitely describe this property. Everything is clean and homely, with a dash of elegance. We felt absolutely spoilt from the second we entered.
Hotel staff were wonderful. We stayed in one of their Suites and it was exquisite. Thoroughly enjoyed the extra special attention staff made to the details of the room. Turn down service was a wonderful surprise.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious and staff were exceptional. Couldn't rate them higher.

Unfortunately I couldn't get into the Spa while we were there, which was a huge disappointment. I suggest booking into the spa well in advance.

If you're looking for some quiet space away from the hustle and bustle - go here. If you want to be at the centre of attention where all the action is happening, stay closer to the city.

Loved it.

Room Tip: Harbour view room are worth the extra coinage.

Got a great mystery deal at the Langham Sydney. I was a bit disappointed at first as it didn't look like a hotel I would normally stay at (from photos), I like more modern decor etc. But I was pleasantly surprised, it really was beautiful and very clean. The old world charm was lovely and the service from the staff was amazing. The bathroom had a huge bath which I took advantage of a few times. The location was great, short walk to the Rocks, a little longer but quite an easy walk to Darling Harbour. I have no hesitation recommending this hotel!

We chose the Langham Hotel in Sydney due to its proximity to the Sydney harbor and Rocks area, the fact it has only 78 rooms, and the old-worlde charm. We were not disappointed.

The hotel evokes the atmosphere of delightful 1920's hotels, it reminded me of the old Vic Falls hotel, or a charming country English hotel. The Lobby was most attractive, our check-in smooth, and our two rooms adjacent on the first floor. The bathroom was gorgeous, travertine marble with full bath and separate shower, beautiful fittings and amenities, and very large for a hotel. The room was most elegantly furnished, flat screen TV, minibar, tea and coffee facilities.

Wifi was not included, nor was breakfast, and at $45 per head and five of us, we chose to eat breakfast out at The Rocks Coffee down near the harbor, excellent by the way! The dining options seemed very expensive to us, so we ate in the Rocks area, and in particular we were very happy as a family to discover Lucetta restaurant, about 150m to the right out the front door. Well priced, fantastic service, yummy pizzas, definitely worth a visit.

We enjoyed the stroll to the harbor, we were on holidays and this is what we like to do. I'd say its five minutes through the Argyle cut, very pleasant walk indeed and everything you need at hand, the Rocks, Bridge, Opera House, Botanic Gardens. bring some good walking shoes! We also walked easily into the Pitt Street Mall, though maybe this was a good twenty minutes walk.

The pool at the hotel was divine, we actually found a photo of it in the Maritime Museum! It is in th style of a Roman Bath, in the basement of the hotel, I guess it is 20 metres, with splendid surrounds and a large spa.

All in all a quality hotel, full of charm and elegance, a perfect choice for Sydney.

Elegant and sophisticated in a quiet part of Sydney but a short walk to down town. Nice views over Darling Harbour and the service is excellent.
I have had the same room on every occasion I have visited which is a very thoughtful thing to do.

The Langham is situated about 100 metres from The Rocks precinct. The reception staff were very friendly and professional. Valet service and car park were complimentary. The hotel is exceptionally well furnished, and carefully blends old-fashioned charm with modern amenities in and outside of the room. Staying in a top floor apartment, it was possible to enjoy a very good view of Sydney from the balcony. Breakfast was excellent.

Room Tip: Stay on the top floor rooms, if affordable!

This is exactly what you'd expect from an international 'brand' hotel ... spacious, well-appointed bedrooms, good service, pleasant common areas etc. Good location, but you do spend a lot of time walking down to the harbour ... if I were to visit Sydney again, I think I'd prefer to be closer to the harbour ...

Stayed on 28 December, 2012. This was our first time at The Langham and we were extremely happy with the room, the size of the room, the decor, the old world charm features including the soaps, the comfortable bed, the fabulous indoor pool, the bar! So enjoyed our stay that I've just booked a night in a Junior Suite for the Australia Day weekend! Can't wait to go back.
