We've stayed at Wyndham a couple of times now. Very friendly staff and accessible to heaps of eating places and entertainment. Just a short electric train ride to Circular Quay (or bus ride) where ferries are and also The Rocks area. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but for a Sydney visit for us they are fine.

I just completed a 10 day stay at the Wyndham Vacation Resort and while it was a pleasant stay, it was nothing to brag home about. For the money, the rooms are quite small. The TV's could be updated for one. One of my biggest grips was the door between the living room and the bedroom. With it open you can get in between them, but then the entrance to the bathroom is blocked. So when you want to get between the two, the door is always in the way. A good solution would be to create a pocket door between them and that would remove that problem. The staff was always friendly in my opinion. Storage in the bedroom is quite limited too. Not many storage drawers are provided and the closet is quite small. Since I was there for a longer stay, more storage would of been a better welcome. For a short weekend stay then you should be fine. Would I stay here again? perhaps but i'd give other options a try too.

We booked a 1 one bedroom unit on Booking.com check in time on the reservation was 2 PM hotel tried to tell us the check in would not be till 4 PM after a 14 hour flight this was not acceptable. We had to show them a physical copy of the reservation to get in at 2PM FYI I had emailed the hotel directly a few days in advance to request an early check in so they were fully aware we were coming early. Front desk staff were slow at the check in and could not handle the volume of check in/outs in a timely manner. We checked bags with them and they were in our room at 2 PM when we finally got the keys however one of the bags was not ours. Just shows the lack of training and controls in this property.

Apartment was more of a studio then a one bedroom (Folding doors separate the 20) We had 2 twin beds in the sleeping area and a sofa sleeper in the lounge area. Bathroom is really large and nice, kitchen is well equipped over all comfortable but for such a well appointed room there was nearly no storage this could be an issue for a longer stay. Internet is 20.00 a day "PER DEVISE" really in this day and age to charge for internet and make it per devise is poor value (FYI we tried to use one of our devices as a "hot spot" and they have it setup to block you from doing this)

Location is excellent in the Darlinghurst area just across Hyde Park for the CBD and close the Museum subway stop. Walking distance of most all the major tourist sites. Make sure you have the address for a cab driver they don't seem to know where this hotel is located by name only.

We stayed here for 3 nights during our tour of Australia. We had a 1-bedroom apartment which was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful to us. A good location for China Town and Darling Harbour. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable accommodation, very helpful staff and a very well equipped room. We were given a very warm welcome to this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and pleasant. It was very well equipped, with cooking facilities and every small detail had been thought of to make our stay enjoyable. I fully recommend this hotel.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights for our wedding night as it was a wedding present. The unfriendliness of the staff began right when we walked through the door. Upon arriving after our reception, the staff asked why we were checking in so late and we replied that we had just come from our wedding reception. Staff simply said " Oh ". It wasn't as if we were asking for an upgrade, but a simple " Congratulations" would have gone a long way.

The next day, we had asked for some suggestions on what to do or sightsee and the man at reception simply pointed to the brochures near the lifts, completely unhelpful. The morning of our departure, we rang from our room to ask for more milk and towels and again, the same staff member told us to come down and get it from reception. It was pretty embarrasing to come down early in the morning wearing only pajamas in front of guests who were checking in.

Needless to say, we did not enjoy our stay here. I highly recommend finding another place to stay before going to this place

Three of us stayed 4 nights over Christmas holiday. The hotel staff held some of our bags for free for the week prior to our stay while we travelled. The staff also helped us with a problem with our Orbitz reservation and offered us a satisfactory solution (unlike Orbitz). The room was nicely furnished, clean, and quiet. The shower had no curtain and was missing a sliding glass door, so the bathroom floor always got wet. The bed was comfortable, but our daughter had to sleep on a pull-out couch that was not as comfy. The room had a kitchen with sink, refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, dishes, utensils, cookware. We ate breakfasts and dinners in the room at the dining table. Train station and bus route just two blocks away. Convenient connections or long (but nice) walk to Circle Quay and ferries. Train to airport was fine and competitive with taxi for three.
