We really enjoyed our short stay at the Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park. Next to the park ams tons of tourist and shopping areas. Highly recommend that you stay there for either business or pleasure. Staff was friendly. Large comfortable rooms.

This is a great hotel in great location with a great club floor. Really worthwhile paying the extra for the club access for breakfast and light meals. Our only suggestion is that the club should remain open for light meals until 9pm or later.

We accidentally booked the wrong room online so once we arrived we spoke to Shannon at reception who sorted everything out for us. She was a great help and made the check-in experience 10/10.

We made use of the gym, pool, hot tub and sauna whilst we were there, as well as the Club lounge. The club lounge is great to chill out and have a drink or two with nibbles. The view is also amazing looking over Hyde Park.

In the evening we went to the bar on the 1st floor. We were taken care of by Serena who provided exceptional service and made the experience very personal.

Shannon and Serena are both very valued assets to the hotel. Thank you both for making our stay the best yet!

I stayed for 13 days there and the hotel is located in a nice area of the city. Near restaurants and a lot of shopping areas. You can walk to the harbor and visit some nice places like the Opera House or the Botanic Garden and some nice museums.

Room tip: Rooms facing the park.

We recently stayed at this hotel for one night on a quick trip to Sydney for an event . As my husband is Bonvoy Gold Elite member we chose to stay here, even though it was some distance from the venue. At check in we were offered an upgrade to a suite - at a cost of $100. However, as a Gold Elite member this should be automatic if the room is available, at no charge! When the staff member was questioned about this he just apologised that it was only available at the cost of $100, not complimentary! Check your terms and conditions Marriott!! More disappointing was the fact that the customer next to us was upgraded to a suite complimentary! So much for loyalty!! Next, when he was confirming our room type - we had booked a Hyde Park View with club access through the Marriott App - we were informed that, no, we had a HydePark view room on a Club floor, but no Club access? Not wanting to cause another argument, we accepted this and proceeded to our room. On leaving the elevator on the 14th floor we were met with a putrid smell and a loud noise. Obviously there had been some sort of water leak and the carpet was wet. This stench permeated the air. Luckily our room was far enough away not to smell it or hear the noise. We were also a little dissatisfied with the overall cleanliness of the room. It was not up to 5star standard (dirty mirrors and streaks and smears in the bathroom). However the actual room amenities were lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable - beautiful linen and pillows. Hotel was in a good location for the city but not sure we would stay again. Being loyal to a brand often never pays off!
