Great, great place. Sophisticated, clean property. Views to die for and right next to ferry routes and trains to get around. Don't rent a car...it's not needed if you're touring around the city. Multiple bars and restaurants right at your door step.

this was the 4th apt/hotel we stayed at in Sydney during a one month stay in Jan2009. It was clearly the best. location is a few steps from the ferries, trains and the opera house. the room was also exceptional. we had the garden view side, which had nice views of the botanical gardens, intense morning sunrises and even a slight opera house view. macquarie street below was however much louder than i anticipated (rumbling harley's at odd hours). staff was great. the only negative was gym, pretty minimal; and the spa/hot tub which needed new tile

My family and I booked our parents into the Quay Grand Suites as a gift for them to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. This review is based on the feedback received from Mum and Dad. They rated this hotel as the best they have stayed at anywhere in the world based on standard of service, room facilities, hotel location and the attitude of staff which is to do everything possible to meet the needs of the guest. They arrived slightly early but this was no problem with an early check in. They said the views of the Harbour Bridge were stunning and the quality of the in room dinner and breakfast superb. We had a lot of communication with the hotel to arrange this night and everything that was promised was delivered. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the management and staff of the hotel for their efforts in making this a memorable event.

Stayed here for 3 nights and was given an appartment with stunning views of the harbour bridge. With floor to ceiling windows in the lounge and master bedroom this was a fabulous place to stay.

The appartment had everything you could think of in it, including washing machine and tumble dryer, plus fully furnished kitchen. Ideal if you wanted to cook instead of going out. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the place was spotless throughout.

Our stay was definitely not long enough, and we didn't get to check out the pool, just didn't have time.

With good resturants nearby we didn't need to venture far in the evening.

Access to public transport was very good, with the harbour ferries right on our doorstep!

I would absolutely return here the next time I visit Sydney.

As a seasoned international business traveler, I am accustom to many different hotel offerings and location features. My wife and I recently chose Australia as our honeymoon getaway and opted to stay at the Quay Grand Suites based upon it's prime location near the tourist attractions, ferries, restaurants, pubs, and outdoor market at the area called "The Rocks". I cannot overstate the prime positioning of this hotel in relationship to all of the transportation or night spot options. The hotel is truly perfectly positioned for a leisure getaway and is 3 minutes walking distance from water ferries, local and regional train stations, and a 5 minute walk to the iconic Opera House. The "Rocks" district, famous for old pubs, restaurants, and shopping is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. We found the staff to be responsive and helpful, polite, and ready to assist with all of our needs. The lobby bar offered a fantastic view and we would, without hesitation, recommend this hotel for anyone traveling on leisure to Sydney. This hotel is located in the heart of the activity and is alone in it's unique positioning. We had considered other options, such as the Marriott, Four Seasons, and the Westin, however none offered the location of this hotel.

This is a must-stay hotel in Sydney. We had a harbour suite with a view of the Harbour Bridge and a kitchenette. The balcony was fantastic and was a great evening hang out spot.

Huge suite with wonderful view of the harbour. Fully equipped apartment, you could live there. Excellent staff and service.

Good pool with a hot tub and a small gym.

The restaurant is not worth bothering with but that is not the point of this type of hotel.

Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

The Quay Suites are terrific. This was my third visit to Sydney but first at this hotel and I chose it because of reviews here.

Each Suite is like a small apartment. Gorgeous layout, great furnishings, huge baths with fully-supplied kitchens and a small washer/dryer and, the best part, large balconies overlooking Circular Quay (the main harbor, bridge and Opera House area) or the park.

This isn't your typical large lobby hotel. Reception is low key but very very friendly and efficient. There is a very nice restaurant and bar in the hotel but 20 feet from the lower level are numerous restaurants, food stands, ice cream, etc.

I was concerned with noise level being located smack dab on the main ferry terminal but the rooms are very well insulated and very quiet. The views are stunning (see attached) and the rooms are wonderful. Highly recommended with my thanks to the staff who treated us so well.
