We had never stayed here before so when a travel site was offering a special deal we decided to book it. We loved the location as it was close to major attractions. The one bedroom apt was very comfy, and we loved the fresh milk that was supplied to go with tea and coffee, i hate the long life milk. The receptionists were very helpful and went out of their way to help. The only downside, which is minor, was the shower over the bath. The bath is very high and might be difficult for older people to get in. The balconies were the biggest i have seen in an apt.

Medina Classic Martin Place is a hidden gem. The entrance via the alley that is Hosking Place is a precursor of things to come - quirky, surreal, are words that come to mind. Albeit I did feel apprehensive about arriving to the hotel after reading some reviews on tripadvisor, I felt a sense of comfort that the hotel is not a 7 star luxury hotel, but a simple serviced apartment complex with polite staff and clean rooms and facilities.

I stayed here for five nights for work and for leisure. Yes, the rubbish trucks are very loud and yes, they do visit frequently, but the doors and windows give enough insulation from the sounds eminating from the alley.

The room was decent with all the facilities that you'd need if you want to relax in your apartment and cook for the evening. The bathroom is large with an odd shower facility reminding me of a child-sized bathing pool.

The apartment building is close-by to all high street shopping, walking distance to The Rocks, Chinatown and Darling Harbour. Fantastic location.

I'd recommend to those who would like to stay at a simple apartment with close promiximity to the beauty and style that Sydney has to offer.

If this hotel could be transplanted into a different setting, it would be fantastic. The staff was endlessly friendly and helpful (recommending supermarkets, booking airport shuttles, fixing a stuck door) and the apartment was clean and comfortable, but its spot in a back alley meant that our room on the first floor landed us views of the dumpster and all-night bright lights from the parking garage opposite our window. Other minor quibbles include a layout that's not very conducive to a dinner table and a lack of amenities (pool, breakfast, etc), but overall we were very happy with the room itself - just not what's outside the front doors.

I stayed in a Studio Unit on the 2nd floor (facing Hosking Place) on Friday and Saturday nights. The apartment was well presented, clean and tidy. Everything was there from full kitchen to washing machine and dryer. The room also had a small enclosed balcony, although nothing to really look at from it.
Other reviews stated noisy trucks etc. I didn't notice any during the two nights I stayed and the small lane/road to the apartment was ok and not really imposing.
The only problem I had was that I had quested an extra hour on the morning of my checkout, which was on ANZAC day, so I could see more of the parade prior to getting ready to leave. When I asked if it was possible for 1 extra hour I was given a direct "NO". they did not even check to see if the room had new guests arriving, just "NO".
Other than this, it was great value and great location.

For budget hotel in Sydney's business district this place isn't bad. The facilities are limited and the side street location is a bit dodgy at night. If you can get a cheap rate it's worth it.

The self-contained room has a full kitchen which is handy for longer stays.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at these apartments. The service was friendly and welcoming. Every day the person at the desk said good morning and in the evening they acknowledged us with a smile and a good evening. I felt connected to the staff because of this and felt them very easy to engage with.

The hotel is located in easy walking distance from Circular Quay and inner city shopping. It is down a small ally, off Castlereagh street, nestled amongst office buildings and skyscrapers. Our room was cosy and spacious, and being on the 7th floor meant we had a view beyond the office building that keeps its blinds closed directly opposite the aparments.

What I least liked about the room was that the taps in both the shower and basin were bothersome. They were difficult to use, and at times I had to use a flannel to turn them off and on. The shower was a good pressure, but it took a while to reach the right mix of both cold and hot due to the temperamental nature of the taps.

It seemed though the chambermaid had arms of steel, because, before our day's adventures we often had to succumb to leaving our poor shower head dripping, but every afternoon, without fail, when we returned to the apartment we were greated with a quiet stillness (beyond the bustling hum of Sydney outside,of course) and found the shower head completely dry, without leakage. It was quite amusing, and I give credit to the chambermaid, but do hope the maintanence people attend at some point to the taps.

What I liked most was that the room was modern and functional and it felt like a home away from home, which, I think, is in alignment with its vision.

We stayed here for 10 days and really enjoyed it. Location is great, the rooms were very clean and the staff helpful. We would definitaly stay here again, the kitchen and washer/dryer were a huge plus.
