Great views of harbour bridge and opera house.

Loved the walk through botanical gardens to opera house.

Easy access via Kings Cross station.. yes it is a bit sleazy but we were expecting that.

Yes room decor a bit tired but very useful to have apartment and be able to cook/store food in fridge etc.

Overall would recommend.

If you are in Sydney on business then this could be the ideal location for you. Five minute walk from the Australian version of Soho but far enough away to be perfectly respectable!
Kings Cross Railway station is a good hop on point for anywhere in the CBD and there are buses close by should you prefer to travel overground.

Thanks to a journey from Hell courtesy of ground staff at Kuala Lumpur, I arrived after midnight, 3 hours late and jet lagged so was not in the best frame of mind however, a warm and friendly welcome plus my chosen room (810 as suggested by other reviewers) made a huge diference.

Room is typical inner city hotel size but clean, air con works, cooking facilities should you wish to use them and a view worth every one of the 25 hours spent getting here!
I would certainly stay here again as it's close enough to the city without suffering from the noise and congestion yu would get in a more central location.

Kings Cross is fine during the day, plenty of good cafes and eateries but fairly seedy at night. Not Amsterdam or London levels and you don't feel threatened but you do need to be fairly broad minded if you walk back from the station at night!

Broadband is expensive at $15 per day but, if you here on business, it's essential. There was a slight connection problem but the brillaint staff member sorted that out within 5 minutes - very impressive!

To sum up, great value, great service - it does exacly what it says on the tin!

Hotel room sized but with the added bonus of a fully equipped kitchenette, table & chairs.

GREAT service from Paulo on reception.

District room overlooked the main street which was very noisy (although traffic noise doesn't bother me). Harbour rooms @ the back should be quieter but are more expensive. Washing machines & dryers on every floor - very handy & cheap!

5 minutes to Kings Cross station. Bus stop to city outside. 8 minutes to Fitness First - guest passes from Reception. Kings Cross geared towards backpackers & adult entertainment but always busy and never experienced any trouble.

Good location, easy to walk through to the beautiful Elizabeth Bay, Rushcutters Bay & Double Bay. Or cut across the Domain to reach the city in 20 minutes.

The hotel itself was ok, the room was a little on the small side. To have a shower you first had practically climb over the toilet to get in. The decor was a bit tired and could do with a bit of a freshen up. The reception staff were a bit hit and miss, the majority were good and their knowledge and information was appreciated. However one of the reception staff was extremely hard work, trying to get any information out of her was like pulling teeth and she had such a sour look on her face all the time, we never got a smile out of the whole time that we were there. The view from the room however was fanastic. The train station is about 10mins walk from the apartments but it is through a bit of a sleazy area called Kings Cross. its full of late night bars, strip clubs etc. I wouldn't stay here again, I would prefer to be a bit closer to the main attractions and further away from Kings Cross.

We were on 8th floor " with harbour view" and expected a glimpse of the harbour but got wonderful views including the opera house. We walked through the botanic gardens to get to the opera house. Very good value is a day travel ticket which covers unlimited train, bus, ferries. The ferries round the harbour are as good as tours.

Stayed here for 4 nights in september 2009. Staff was really friendly and helpfull. The rooms is perfect for 2 persons. The location is great, only 5 mins. to Kings Cross station, and Woolwoths is just across the street. There is a lot of great eating opportunities on Macleay street, and a lot of cosy cafees. If I sholud stay there again, I would opt for a room with a view over the harbour. When you stay here you have access to Fitness First at Kings Cross. Great place with a view over the harbour and habrour bridge.

Its a rare case when the photos on the website do not do it justice. The view over the Botanical gardens to the Opera House and Harbour Bridge is sensational. OK, not all rooms have that view ( thankfully ours did ) and it does come as an additional suppliment. Pay the extra to get the wonderful sight of the early morning glow on the bridge, the early evening mass migration of the thousands of bats from the botanic gardens or the evening spectacle of the citys skyscrappers all aglow.
The staff are wonderful and give great advice on the citys attractions and best shopping locations.
The area of Potts Point adjoins Kings Cross which can be seedy and lively at night. But fun too. But its far enough removed not to be bothered by the associated noise. The bus stops right by, the train station is less than 10mins walk away and the Woolworths supermarket is literally across the street.
As a base for our city based holiday it was near perfect and I recommend it highly. But then again we did have a room with the amazing city view.
There is currently some renovation work being done on the corridors, but it was being carried out with no disruption.
