Stayed last year on holiday. Returned 2013 on business. Great hotel, made thus by caring staff and super service.
Most reviews are of the 'Club Level' and eulogies about that.
I had a standard room with a view of just one rivet of the Harbour Bridge, but I was still treated like royalty. 1518.
Breakfast is superb. One of the best. Of course, in Australia nothing is cheap, but the price was competitive with nearby cafés in the Circular Quay.
It was particularly wet during my stay, so the provision of unlimited umbrellas was appreciated. Even when sitting in reception, staff would come to chat and ask if they could help. That's the sign of a great hotel.
The location is perfect, close to the ferries. Go to Manly!
$7.50 is a bargain.
If you fancy a drink away from the hotel, the Argyle on the Rocks is a good choice. 10 minute walk. However, the hotel has a good Happy Hour deal.More
