I stayed two nights for business recently. Paid the small surcharge to guarantee a harbour view and was not disappointed. Overlooking the Domain, Fort Dennison then the Eastern Suburbs, Taronga Zoo and over to Manly. The rooms have been refurbished and laid out well for working with a good sized desk facing the view. Bed was comfy and no noise from other rooms or hallway. Eat there for both breakfast and lunch and both were of very good quality with attentive staff. If you are travelling and want good service and a bit of luxury with an amazing view then this is the place for you.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a guaranteed view

Great period building with lovely fit out in rooms and great staff
So close to city centre the rocks and so makes it ultra convenient and easy to get around
Across the road from the botanical gardens so great if you like a leisurely stroll around beautiful surrounds

I stayed at the Intercontinental in Sydney one night at very short notice. The IC is usually outside our expense account but this night Sydney was very full and it was the only acceptable hotel under $250 for the night. Very comfortable, great lobby for business meetings and would definitely recommend it if it fits the budget.

Room Tip: I had a city view room which was great for work, good light, good outlook and sensible desk layout.

The hotel location is very good, a 5 mins walk and you'll be at Circular Quay and have a good view of Harbor Bridge & Opera House. All means of transport readily available, Martin Place Station and Circular Quay station in close proximity. The rooms are quite spacious, however the bathrooms are not that spacious and have the old switches (didn't like them). Staff is very nice, polite and helpful. For a great view, go to Club Intercontinental which is located on the top floor. It overlooks the Sydney Opera House.

Room Tip: The higher the better, you may have to shell more bucks if you want a good view.

After leaving Lizard Island, we stopped off in Sydney to explore, have a great dinner and do the bridge climb. We stayed on the concierge level and our hotel room had views of the Opera House. It was amazing. The room is a nice size, concierge level great and the location is perfect. You can walk out and start exploring. Right by the hotel is botanical gardens (it's free and you can take a nice walk), walk to the opera house, the harbour and the bridge.

The room was clean, staff was friendly and location is great.

Having arrived in Sydney to our original hotel which was terrible, we were left trying to find a family room on a Saturday night in Sydney at 5 o'clock.
One call to Intercontinental reception and we were booked in for 3 nights to what they described as a city view room, what a releif.
The hotel was excellent and the cleanliness of the room and hotel could not be faulted, fresh crisp white sheets and the rooms cleaned every day to a high standard.
It was a pleasure to come back after a day touring to the comforts of our room, the city view room we had you could see the bridge which was great.
Use the pool on the top floor and marvel at the views at night of bridge and opera house..... Fantastic.
We didn't eat in the hotel so couldn't comment on food,

Would go back !!

Thanks

Room Tip: Mega clean !!
