It is located directly opposite Hyde Park along Elizabeth street. The nearest station is Museum Station. Walking distanceto George Street where you can find Hay market..near to Chinatown in Sydney. It is also within walking ddistance to Darling habour and Central station. The staff are friendly and helpful too.

This was our first time in Sydney and the location of the hotel is ideal. You do not need a car as there is a tube station across the road, and the Harbour Bridge and Opera House are within walking distance. The Room was very spacious and had everything we needed, there are plenty of eateries etc. within walking distance, and there is even a delivery service from a number of establishments near the hotel.

In April I had the pleasure of 4 nights here at the Hyde Park Inn. Took alot of research to find this and I'm glad I did. Best value for money, clean and tidy, room serviced every day, breakfast supplied every day and lovely reception staff. Most impressed and I will be back :)

Room Tip: I was on the 14th floor in a Deluxe Studio. Room 143. This had a great view over Hyde Park, and I wa...

This has to be just about the best-located hotel in Sydney for holidaymakers. We were a family group from Hong Kong (2 couples, grandma, and 3 young children) and stayed in 2 rooms over the Easter break. Having arrived early in the morning into Sydney, the hotel staff looked after our bags until rooms became available around lunchtime, Meanwhile we took a leisurely stroll down to The Rocks (20 minutes or so) to kill some time looking at the Sydney Bridge and the Opera House. Coming back on the tube was only two stops to Museum station (beware...no lift here in case you've got pushchairs, but one stop down - St James - makes up for it), which is 30 seconds from the front door of the hotel. Central station is about 5 minutes walk in the opposite direction (we went to the Sydney Easter show from there), and with Chinatown and supermarkets within a couple of blocks we could not have wanted a better location.

The rooms were exactly as advertised...clean, comfortable and with all expected amenities. As other reviewers have noted, it is great to be able to make yourselves a meal or snacks and the rooms were well-equipped with utensils, appliances and everything else to make this possible. There's something nice about waking up in the morning, opening the balcony door and looking over Hyde Park.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The fact that we (as a group of eight) took over the lobby area every morning on the way out didn't faze them at all.

My only (very minor) issue is that some of the wall light fittings and hung pictures in the rooms were not straight. A couple of minutes sorting that out was all it took - but I reckon the housekeeping staff could have done it too. That's my OCD kicking in - can't be helped!!!

We had recommended the place to friends who were also there from Hong Kong, and their comments reflect ours. Great place, great location, great staff. Made for a great family holiday, and we would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at the property for 2 nights while visiting Sydney. The checkin process was efficient and friendly, we were able to secure a check out of 11am ( normal checkout is 10am) for Sunday morning and store our bags until our pick up later in the day for the airport.
The studio accommodation was exactly as shown on the website, a spacious room with a kitchenette and a small balcony that overlooked Hyde Park. The wifi was strong and the bed very comfortable, a continental breakfast was included and the items to give this kick start to the day were in the fridge and replenished each day. The bathroom was well equipped and the shower worked well. The furnishings were of good quality and the room well maintained.
The only negative was the housekeeping on the second day which was only cursory, we had no expectation of the bed linen to be changed but all we could identify was that the bed was made.
The position of the property at the top end of Elizabeth Street opposite Museum train station and across from Hyde Park allowed for a short walk to the eateries and shopping in the mall. We had a leisurely walk to the museum then through the botanic gardens down to circular quay via the opera house.
We enjoyed our time at this property and would stay here again for future trips to Sydney.

I stayed with a party of four on the sixth floor. Hotel was in a good location – walking distance to the main CBD area, Chinatown, plenty of restaurants, just opposite Hyde Park where the Night Noodle Market was being held, The Rocks, Star, Opera House etc.. Loved the fact that the room we stayed in had a mini fridge, microwave, sink and breakfast supplies were replenished daily.

One thing that seemed strange with the hotel was every night pass midnight there would be loud noises from the level above. We assumed this was due to noisy and inconsiderate tenants. I slept through 4 nights with earplugs but on the final night, the noise became unbearable with a lot of furniture dragging noises. We contacted reception and they immediately gave us a late check-out allowance without us having to say much – odd. The hotel’s claim was there is a 7th floor café and they were having a party.

I didn’t think much of it until later. I’m not sure if there was a café on the 7th floor and didn’t take notice if there was a 7th floor.

We have stayed here twice now. Very easy to get to from all transport systems. Easy walk to Darling Harbour. Lovely view from balcony. Spacious rooms. We were on 12th floor. Non smoking. We would stay again as the location is perfect.

Room Tip: High floors have great views over park.
