Conveniently located next to Circular Quay and The Rocks, the Four Seasons is just an amazing hotel. We stayed at the Opera View room and the views from our room were definitely a highlight of our trip. The hotel and its services are a bit pricey, but worth every cent. The mini bar should be called mini super market! Huge selection of wines, drinks and chocolates are offered in the room. The bed is ultra comfortable, and service / cleaning was perfect.

On the negative side, like in all hotels WiFi was not free, but particularly expensive in this hotel.

This was a tough one to score. But in the end, it is all about value for the $ for me. If I stay in an expensive hotel like the Four Seasons, Sydney, I expect to be astounded by the room and awed by the service.

The room had a fantastic view of the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. It was, however, oddly shaped and tiny. It was what I'd expect out of a three star hotel, not here. Sure the view was fantastic but... Also, the walls were paper thin, our next door neighbors had a crowd in and we could hear everything, fortunately they stopped around 6pm.

The service was acceptable. Check-in and check-out were snaps, the folks at the front door were engaging and very friendly.

Breakfast was good, nothing exceptional though. Room service, however, was quite good. The food was delivered on-time, was hot and tasty.

It's a good location if you're going to browse the Rocks and the Harbour. I'd prefer something closer to the shopping district. There were loud honks all day and into the night, never could figure out if they were from train horns (tracks right below) or the Harbour boats.

On the whole, this hotel does not provide the value I'd expect with the price.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel for several reasons. First, the location right near Circular Quay and the Rocks is great. It is easy to walk places or to catch a bus or ferry. Second, the hotel has a great fitness center with lots of weight and cardio equipment. It is more than adequate for the business traveler who wants to stay in shape. Finally, the concierges were helpful and knowledgeable. They went out of their ways to help guests and plan memorable excursions.

One word of warning-- I reserved an "opera house view" room and would not recommend spending additional money on this type of room because the opera house was visibly only if you stood at the far right hand corner of the room and peered out. Otherwise the room has a view of the office building across the street.

We were there for 4 days holiday with my 2 and 4 months old son. The view from our room in fantastic. I really like the location as it is very convenience. However the guest service there was not impress at all. The staff doesn't look happy to help us anything. They don't look welcoming which is different from other staff. Staff at concierge are very very helpful.

I regret staying here except for the location which could not be beat. it was so central to everything and it saved our holiday in Sydney. Unfortunately we had a bad experience at check in and it spoilt our time at this hotel. Check in took forever and without any apology which is not acceptable when paying this sort of money. I have been to 2 star property's and received friendlier and more professioanl service. The room was fine but again not up to expectations for this type of hotel. All up we were not impressed.

Stayed there for a week while on business in Sydney. The room had a spectacular view of the Opera and the Sydney Bridge but everything else went downhill from there. To mention a few:
1. Waited for close to 3 hours to get a room after a 20 hour flight from Toronto while watching other guest registering and walking away from the reception with room keys
2. Ripped the lining of my suit jacket on a wire portruding from the seat cushion of the chair at breakfast (!!!!), the rip was stitched up with apologies a day later, sorry, but apologies are hardly sufficient under the circumstances
3. One morning waited over 10 min for the elevator to come up to the 24th floor where my room was located
4. One would expect bottled water to come with turn down service, never happened here
5. On going tug of war with cleaning staff who every day insisted on setting the AC 3 degrees below where I set it up
6. Had dinner one evening at the Cafe (Kables restaurant was closed), considering prices the food can be at best described as mediocre
