The location of this hotel was wonderful with proximity to the CBD and the Rocks. The room was spacious, modern and clean but there were some issues. I ordered room service only to have two followup calls querying my order. It appears that I had an old menu in the room - I would have expected more from this hotel! Also, the meal when it arrived was very ordinary with an extraordinary price! Breakfast was $AUS42 - it was good but I have had much better at a much, much lower price elsewhere.

My husband & I stayed here for 2 nights after we got married and it was the perfect way to start our marriage. On arrival we discovered that the Future Music Festival after-party was happening in the hotel lobby so got to mingle with a few celebrities before retiring to our Harbour View room where the view of stunning Sydney Harbour with its beautiful night lights certainly didn't disappoint! There was champagne on ice and a hand written welcome card from the General Manager which we loved.

The rooms are a little older (admittedly I stayed at the Four Seasons when it was The Regent a LONG time ago) however they are well maintained and the decore is modern. Beds are super comfy 10 out of 10 for sleepability.

Pool area is one of the best parts of the hotel. The comfy lounge chairs and big fluffy towels are fantastic and so is the pool side table service. Not only can you order food and drinks without having to get up, but periodically the staff come around with cold face towels to wipe your face with which is a nice touch.

Would I stay here again? Yes for sure.

Excellent hotel, attentive staff, exceptionally well maintained. Rooms are very comfortable - the best bed, pillows and linen of any hotel I've ever stayed at. Good business location as well as being located on the water and potential for good walks.

I anticipated it would be an extraordinary stay as it's a Four Seasons Hotel but it wasn't. My expectations were far too night. I confirmed a city view king room @ $295 per night inclusive of breakfast. The room was small, the bed was soft, lumpy, uncomfortable and offered no support for your back. The air conditioner blew hot air all night, despite the temperature gauge highlighting it was only 16 degrees. We reported the incident to the maintainance department who visited the room and advised the temperature gauge was never correct and there was nothing wrong with the air conditioning in the bathroom roof. Apparently that was all that could be done, so we didn't sleep at all that night and had to pay for the inconvenience. The breakfast buffet was great, however we were soon let down again by the slow check-out procedure and temporary loss of luggage upon departure causing us to almost miss our plane. Overall it was a very disappointing experience, the food and beverage was very overpriced and the customer service was ordinary. I will not return to this hotel and I would certainly not recommend this hotel in the future. I would try next time the Shangri La only a five minute walk from this hotel.
