I recently spent the weekend here with my partner celebrating our birthdays. We stayed in a Junior Suite on the 18th Floor.
Positives
- Nice big Spa bath with plenty of room for 2 people
- All staff were very professional and friendly, I have found Sydney hotels to be hit and miss in this area in the past. The Executive Lounge staff in particular stand out going the extra mile
- Check in was quick and efficient
- Room was quiet even with the Sydney Festival taking place close by and close to major roads
- Right on Hyde Park, nice walks close by. Easy walk through the park to main shopping area
- A very short walk to Museum Train Station
- Plenty of restaurants close by on Oxford Street
- Room was clean and well maintained, bed very comfortable
- Great views from the pool and not a bad size
Areas for improvement:
- It was impossible to get a table for breakfast, we were sent away both mornings (8am & 9am)
- The Coffee in the executive lounge is Commercial Nespresso type, very average tasting. The lounge staff kindly went to get us a decent coffee from the cafe downstairs.
- Executive Lounge access is not complementary when booking a Junior Suite, considering the room is almost exactly the same price as the Executive Rooms, I found that quite puzzling. Booking.com stated there was lounge access...I recently spent the weekend here with my partner celebrating our birthdays. We stayed in a Junior Suite on the 18th Floor.

- Executive Lounge access is not complementary when booking a Junior Suite, considering the room is almost exactly the same price as the Executive Rooms, I found that quite puzzling. Booking.com stated there was lounge access while the Accor Website stated nothing. After confirming with the hotel directly they confirmed there was no lounge access, however kindly gave us complementary access.
- The Restaurant on the ground floor was quite disappointing, steak was cooked to the Chefs liking rather than how I requested. I found it a little expensive for the quality of food.
