Also make sure you have a drink at the marble bar it is absolutely beautiful.

Room Tip: Request a room away from the elevator.

The Sidney Hilton is centrally located both for business and for fun. The hotel is 43 floors of upscale rooms. The upper floors have views of the city and the harbor. Our room had spectacular views of the city, the harbor and even the opera house. The rooms have been updated to a glass and tile modern look. The rooms were a little small for a Hilton but quite comfortable and well maintained.

The staff was very accommodating and the concierge was extremely helpful in arranging tours, giving us advice and booking our events. The executive lounge is spacious and has all you would expect.

The hotel is near some great shopping and dining options. The Darling Harbor area is just a few blocks from the hotel. There you will find both food and entertainment options galore.

The Glass Restaurant on the second floor has a great breakfast buffet with fresh fruits, delicious bakery goods and cooked to order items. The restaurant staff were helpful, gracious and friendly. After one day they remembered our preferences. That is pretty amazing in such a large facility.

When you visit Sidney you won't go wrong choosing the Hilton.

Room Tip: I have always found that if you are nice and ask for a better room the staff tries to accommodate yo...

Returning to stay for 3 nights during a business trip, I wondered what the stay would be like in a Delux Room having stay in a Guest Room in the past.

Have to say it met my expectation with nice working area with desk and excellent lighting. Shower was spacious and clean with excellent amenities including a bathrobe and slippers. The TV was at an angle to the bed and a bit on the small side but functional. Being on 32nd floor it was very quiet with street noise not audible. The inclusion of free wi-fi and use of Executive Lounge was nice. I had breakfast one morning and afternoon tea one afternoon there. It was much used for breakfast and relatively quiet in the afernoon. There was also canape in the evening but I was too tired at the end of the day to pay a visit.

Bedding is not a true king-bed but two king-single joined - still comfortable for a restful night.

Location is, again, a bonus, close to places I need to go and like to visit within walkable distance.

Express check-out was not an option as I was charged wrongly for mini-bar provision I did not consume and also need to clarify whether I would be charged wi-fi connection or not (I was advised to proceed with wi-fi connection by asking to be billed to the account and to have it cancelled on check-out). Check-out was relatively smooth and luggage kept for almost an entire day until I got on a taxi at 5pm.

I would recommend, should budget permit, stay here during any business trip.

Room Tip: Executive Lounge on 36th floor and so close to that floor would make getting to breakfast easy.

I was delighted to read that you were pleased with your experience; however we regret any inconvenience caused as a result of the inadvertent minibar charge on your bill. This is one of the better Hilton's even though it is starting to show its age.
The rooms are not that big and the noise, especially on a Saturday evening, is somewhat annoying. Even more annoying was not being able to get a coffee at 9pm on a Saturday night.
We especially stayed over at the Hilton as it is conveniently situated to Hyde Park where the Noodle Fair was taking place. Having partaken in many oriental dishes we were all in need of a good coffee. We came back to the hotel and seated ourselves in the Hilton Cino but were told that they were closed. This is 9pm on a Saturday night! Good grief. There was nowhere else in the hotel to just get coffee rather than a meal and had to leave the Hilton and go across to the QVB to find a cafe!
We all remarked that the decor of the hotel is rather stark - there's no real ambience - almost cold. I am sure a bit of refurbishment would fix that up pretty quickly.
Given the high rates many hotels charge in Sydney the Hilton is almost good value and certainly better than some of the more fancy expensive hotels in the Sydney CBD.

Room Tip: Keep away from George Street!

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your stay at Hilton Sydney.

I was very sorry about your disappointment regarding the lobby cafe trading hours. However, we do have an alternative of serving coffee in Glass Brasserie's Wine bar, in the restaurant on level two, should you return in future.

I do hope we will have the pleasure of serving you again in the not too distant future.

The Hilton in Sydney is excellent. The location in the CBD is perfect, near the major shops and business area. The staff are well trained and all seem eager to please. The facilities are really good eg the gym and the hotel is kept very clean. The only downside could be the noise. even though I was on 42nd floor, I could still hear the sirens at night and cars screeching. I guess when they built it, they didn't consider double glazing! Ask for a quiet or non street facing room, this may help! Restaurant and the food was plentiful and well served. All in all, a great stay
