We stayed at Holiday in for three nights and I was extremely impressed with the service from the staff. The room has everything in it right down to sewing kits and slippers. I forgot my razor and housekeeping delivered me a little pack within 5 mins of me saying I forgot it. This hotel has everything you need plus more. It's in a fantastic location. A two minute walk to Paddys market and a 5 min walk to Darling Harbour and all the delights. Highly recommended!!

Was looking for a cheap room to sleep in on our whirlwind anniversary getaway. Booked the cheapest thing I could find on the net, prayed we would be lucky enough to get a queen sized bed, as the advertised rate stated "queen preferred" and that we would not be eaten alive by bedbugs! On arrival we were delighted to find the parking was half the quoted price and we had been given a complimentary upgrade! The bed was newly refurbed & plush, lovely high ceilings, fluffy robes and slippers, quality toiletries, silence and a late checkout - HEAVEN for our cheapo romantic escape! The staff were polite and efficient and the location was spot on, we were able to walk to a comedy show on George St, then over to Darling Harbour for fireworks and the casino was a $10 cab ride home. Thank you Holiday Inn!

Holiday Inn Darling Harbor is in a renovated historical building. I was at 11th floor. My room was excellent. Spacious en recently renovated. Staff is helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was good, although I was confused about the price options and surprised that prices changed depending on what time you took breakfast. Selling point of the hotel is its location. You can take great walk along darling Harbor and the Sydney city center. Down side I found the surprisingly heavy traffic that runs through the street in front of the hotel and the long wait at check out. Gym was closed, but running along Darling Harbor is a treat that beats the tredmill in the gym big time. There was also a paint job done on my floor, but that was trouble free for guests. Good experience.

Stayed four nights at the Holiday Inn. Great location 5 mins walk from Darling Harbour. The monorail runs past every 10 mins but we didn't hear it at all in our room. Internet was very expensive as it seems to be in all Hoilday Inn's now.

Mixed views on this hotel. Because of the address we expected it to be on Darling Harbour and have Harbour views but this is not the case. It was however just a short walk away. There were long queues at check-in which meant we stood in line for longer than we felt appropriate and then had to fill in a couple of hours before our room was ready. The staff were rushed and curt rather than courteous. The lifts were tiny. Lift security was broken so access to any of the floors was a free-for-all. The breakfast room was far too small, with people having to queue for breakfast, which meant we had to wait and therefore rush our breakfast so that we could be at our business appointment on time. The staff apologised every morning for the lack of tables but apologies wear a bit thin after a while when you realise that nothing is actually being done about it.

The young consierge was very friendly and helpful and the cleaners were friendly and polite. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean.

The only reason I would stay there again is if I was attending a function at the Entertainment Centre as it is immediately across the road.

Stayed in a family room - 2 queen beds. We arrived from a 10 day cruise at 9.30am and attended reception to arrange for storage of luggage until check in time. To our surprise and without asking we were given a room change to one that was ready and we were checked in. The lady on reception was very polite and welcoming. Our room was at the back of the hotel, I think second level from top. Absolutely no noise and we slept that night like babies, even though there was a Lady GaGa concert in the hall across the road. Had breakfast in the hotel one morning which was ok but the room was a bit small and we decided the venture out the following day for breakfast. Our room was very nice and the location fantastic. China Town was just around the corner and we ate there one night. Very easy walk to Darling harbour, monorail and city centre.
