“Bon Voyage Dinner for our Daughter”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2012

An amazing thai meal - get there early - opens at 5pm we got there at 5.30 and got last table, so we did not have to wait outside in line which many people were willing to do (this is a good sign to start). Great to be able to see 5 busy chefs cooking in the see in kitchen. Food was excellent. Well presented, fast and pleasant service...
Reasonably priced just north of China town. Would definitely go again....

“Amazing atmosphere and food - flavours were all new!! Quite the experience - Not your typical Thai”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2012

We had dinner in this bustling gem on a whim due to the amazing view of the kitchen and multiple hard working cooks making amazing looking food. To get a table you write your name on a piece of paper out the front and wait for your number to be called.

Inside the smells are fantastic and staff are prompt. There is no room to spread out though so be prepared to share your dinner quite intimately with the people in the table next to you.

We ordered a selection of dishes all of which turned out to be like nothing we had ever tasted before. Honestly, the flavours were completely foreign and incomparable with any "classic" or westernised Thai that we are used to.

Some we loved, others we were just plain confused by - such as the sausages which ingredients are a complete mystery with the menu only stating "traditional North recipe". We could not pick one single ingredient. Still, no regrets.

The highlight for me, a sweet-tooth, is the custard and fried bread desert. The old lady makes them all fresh at the front and the custard is simply divine. The desert is the only thing I am hanging to go back for - but absolutely an experience not to be missed, even if it is only the one time.
