“Much better tapas than this themed franchise”

This is a themed franchise cafe for people who think Cuba sounds exciting. Unfortunately there is nothing exciting about the food and drinks which are basic (at best) and overpriced. There are so many better tapas bars nearby. Try Bodega, El Bulli or the Carrington. The Carrington has a better menu, far better food and it's all done with love at a better price. if you like Starbucks and you think a Che Guevaro poster is the epitome of culture then this place is for you. Anyone else who prefers not to be sold the "dream" by marketing suits will want to avoid this soulless place at all costs. If your in Taylor sq your not there for coffee are you? Avoid this and go somewhere exciting. Coco Cubano is about as much fun as a trip to your local marketing consultant

“Very Little Havana in the heart of Sydney”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2012

We dropped there by just to have a drink while it was raining. Coco Cubano accidentally turned out to be a very nice place with Cuban interior design - big windows with characteristic shutters, armchairs, old suitcases and a lot of pictures. You could even buy a cigar there and listen to several stories about some photographs.

The menu is full of delicious drinks and food - I would recommend mango and lychee iced tea!
