“Gorgeous food and BYO”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2012

We live on the same road as this place and it's always busy, and has people outside waiting to collect take away. We put off going there as we thought there would be a long wait. One Saturday we just walked down and it turns out they don't take reservations. We were seated immediately, and while it's a little cramped in there, there's a great atmosphere and the food is AMAZING. The service is quick and they're really nice. The duck spring rolls are my new favourite food, and the chilli jam dish with chicken AND beef in it is so tasty it's unreal. most dishes are served in a giant banana leaf in a bowl which is a really nice touch. We brought our own wine (there's a bottle shop next to it!) and it was $2 for the table for corkage! We've gotten take away from there also several times since we first went and it's equally as amazing. If you're in Bondi Beach definitely give it a try! very reasonable prices too $15-$25 for the mains, really big portions. and $5-$10 for the starters. Lots to choose from on the menu, curries, stirfrys, noodles etc. If you're getting the takeaway 1 main course is big enough for 2 by the way.

“Brilliant thai food at reasonable prices.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 22, 2011

A great little cafe which is just a couple of blocks back from the beachfront. Serving Thai and Chinese dishes, they have an appealing lunch menu from $8.90.

The food is all freshly prepared - we saw staff chopping vegatables while we were there! It's BYO drinks with a $2 corkage, but they provide bottles of tap water on the table and we enjoyed a pot of jasmine tea with our meal.

Friendly service, excellent food and good value for money. Recommend a visit to Ricepot - the same owner also runs Stir Crazy Thai in Erskineville, Kirribilli, Neutral Bay and Waverton together with Opium Den in Potts Point and Mortar & Pestle in Manly.
