Gelato Messina has become a Sydney foodie icon, and stayed that way thanks to its ability to constantly innovate and delight. Rather than sticking to the same old flavours, Messina has weekly specials that often have a funny twist or pop culture reference - these flavours are weird and wonderful (jam donut with peanut butter?) and always worth trying. That's the other beauty of Messina, you can ask for as many taster-spoons as you like! And you should. Sure there's a queue, but take your time while ordering, otherwise it's hardly worth it. Of course, the old favourites are still good, but they're not what keep the locals coming back.
