“Polenta chip heaven!!”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

Pros:
Great atmosphere and ambience, loved the industrial style setting
Amazing polenta chips - made me return for another visit just for these chips
No surcharge dining on NYE
Food quick to serve
Seafood risotto delicious

Cons:
Have to turn up early for a shorter wait (45mins). Turning up at 7pm or later = a 2 hour wait. you can't reserve a table if group is under 6
Posh chips were average
Baked fish in a bag was awful - dried out clams and mussels with bland fish. Would not order again

“Could try harder”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

Busy funky vibe, swift and efficient service, get em in, get em out satisfied, sort of place. It's casual and the food is good but it's not great Italian-and some dishes are a little pricey. The spicy prawn pasta dish was a "small shrimp" dish by Aussie standards and the homemade pasta just a little too "al dente" for some diners.Be aware you have to queue and have all your party on hand before they'll show you to a table. It might be a good way of avoiding a no show, but it's annoying being unable to book a table and looks like it's becoming a habit in Sydney eateries lately.

“Wonderful Lunch Experience”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

We traveled to Australia for one month, and dining at Jamie's is one of our trip highlights. The lunch we had here was excellent. The quality of the rabbit, the freshness of the pasta, and the uniqueness of the (pea shoot and asparagus) bruschetta were memorable. We had excellent service. The only glitch was noticed after when we were double billed for our dining, however it was immediately corrected by the staff (as reflected on our credit card). Sadly the exchange still cost us a little more money for lunch!

Despite the minor glitch and associated cost, we were very pleased with the overall experience. The food quality was excellent, the service was excellent. We would return.

“Yum!”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

Jamies, is yum! The waiting area is very small and crammed, you cannot prebook a table at Jamies so the small waiting area is a little uncomfortable. You are able to turn up and add your names to a waiting list but you are only given an estimated waiting time. Anyway. The service was top notch, the seating area is a little squashed but the food and drinks made up for it. The menu is small, but well designed and thought of, there is enough to please everyone. The kitchen is open so you can see the chefs work their magic. The restaurant is close to the bottom end of Pitt St & is in walking distance to the opera house, so whilst waiting for your table you can work up an appetite!

“Great food and atmosphere”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

We had lunch at Jamie's on avert quiet day in Sydney on 29th December and it was full of people and the pasta was viewed in the window being made and it was so fresh and full of flavour and the service was energetic and the staff were full,of typical Jaimie passion. Their we're so many choices and e prices were very reasonable for fine food and service. We look forward to going again next time we are in Sydney and we will tell all our friends to do the same. Lovely Jubbly !
