The Convict, Castles and Champagne Tour was a really pleasant day out. We were extremely lucky with the weather, having rained days either side of the day we went. This did impact the day slightly as the lunch was held inside rather than on the lawn. The drink was free flowing as previously mentioned in other reviews and the lunch was plentiful, a buffet (prawns, ham, beef, three types of salad, bread roll etc).
Brendan, our "tour guide" around the island was very knowledgeable, answered many varied questions and was very entertaining. We went on a Friday so the numbers were smaller than at the weekend, nice to meet other Sydney people and also overseas tourists.

It was great seeing Sydney from a different perspective and hearing some of the history.

This is a tour with a difference - on an old tall ship (in our case), friendly crew and a chance to be transported back in time!

Thank Lind-Fran

Good way to spend a few hours on the harbour. Informative guide. Lunch, only let down. Stale bread roll and soggy prawns.

If you are in Sydnry and looking for something interesting to do for an afternoon book onto this tour. It leaves Campbell Cove 1pm one you set sail on a restored 1920 (something) ferry for Goat Island. The trip there takes about 30 minutes and they serve champagne during the trip. On arrival at Goat Island you are divided into small groups and a tour guide walks with you around the Island giving it history. This is really interesting bithfor adults and school aged children as it gives the history of early settlers and the convicts who worked the quarry on the Island. If you Re into photographythere are great photo opportunties both on the Island and of Sydney Harbour. This guided tour takes about 1 hour. After the tour you return to the pier where a beautiful buffet lunch is set up with open bar setvingchampagne beer wine soft drinks juice and water (all included i cost of ticket). After lunch you reboard the ferry for the castle part of the tour which is a tour of the magnificant harbour. While touring the harbour their is an open bar once again (included in the price of your ticket) and yummy blueberry and chocolate muffins. All in a great way to spend a few hours on the harbour and certainly value for money. The only negative would me we only had 15 to 20 minutes for lunch as we werethe last tour back and this partfelt rushed. It would have been nice to sit for 30 and relax over lunch.

Although the boat, 92 years of age, was late the crew and the commentary as well as the interesting history of the place made up for this.
The food and drink were good even had a genuine "Crusty old sea dog" from Scotland so that this character really helped make the day a nice memory.
I have had some less than satisfactory experiences with coupon offers but I'd happily repeat this one.
