“Eclectic mish-mash of tapas, wine and cocktails.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2012

Discovered L'il Darlin Randwick when I recently moved to the area and have been back several times since, which in itself is saying something! It's an eclectic mish mash of cocktails, wine and tapas in a moody setting with eclectic decor. Try their tapas pizzas and save room for dessert. I'd try their Duck Pizza and top it off with their chocolate brownie swirls but share a few dishes and decide what you're returning for next time. Enjoy your finger food with a "white chocolate passion fruit martini" and you won't be disappointed ( especially after 9pm when they're only $10 a pop!) Most certainly not a venue for a quiet catch up on a Friday or Saturday night- be prepared to be sitting on top of your next door neighbour and leaning over your table to be heard. The atmosphere they set is one for a cosy, quiet, moody, deep conversation but this is where L'il Darlin is confused- it's a hipsters bar masquerading as a wine/ tapas lounge. Somehow they pull it off!

“Randwick - disappointing & pretentious”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2012

The service was terrible to the point our 'tapas pizzas' didn't turn up, then they gave us different pizzas to what had been ordered. The plastic roses weaved into the fake green plant back drop looked cheap, the ambience is dark and the seating cramped. Without the specials the food is overpriced. This is a wannabe Spanish Fly tapas mixed with the pizza capabilities and service of Arthurs Pizza - L'il Darlin can't seem to hit either tapas or pizza with panache. Disappointing.

“L'il Darlin, Randwick.....what a great newcomer to The Spot!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2012

My girlfriends and i nipped in to the new L'il Darling, Randwick for a quick bite before going to the cinema. Between 5pm-6pm they have an offer of $4.50....yum yum yum. They aren't massive but taste great and they have lots of different varieties. I had the duck pizza soooooo good!! The restuarant is really dinky and has a lovely ambience. The girls and i will definately be heading back for some dinner and cocktails before heading out on the town! The Spot needed something new and exciting like this and it works well.

“Snobby”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2012

Fancy little place for a drink on Victoria Street. Worth a visit because it looks so cute. Nice cocktails and scallops were divine. However, girls working the door were snobby. Get better service and you'll get a better review.
