“Amazing...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

We arrived on time for 8pm booking, joined a big queue but only waited 1-2 mins before we were seated. Ordered drinks and items from the sides menu all were beyond expectation especially the salad with beets and rocket. Service was fast and friendly and we were never forgot considering the size of the restaurant.
The meat followed promptly and with regularity. Great selection and delicious which made pacing myself a difficult task.

Overall: top restaurant, best staff and value for money.

“If you love your meat its heaven”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Went here on a Thurday night and the place was packed. Not really my choice to go, or my choice of food, we went to the one in Leichardt last year and it was ok, but the guys from work were keen so we went. Service is excellent, Food is plentiful and quite nice if you love meat by itself! The side dishes could do with improving but i guess its the style of food - people go for the meat not the side dishes! At $47 a head for basically all you can eat (excluding dessert) its ok value.

“Braza (Newport) Sydney Northern beaches”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

My daughter chose "Braza" for the family celebration of her 16th Birthday as she had been to the Darling Harbour venue previously and really enjoyed it.
We are all based north of the harbour bridge (on Sydney's Northern Beaches) and found out that there was a Braza in Newport (which is about a 30 minute drive north of where we are all based). Booking was easy, they have a deal where you eat free on your birthday and kids 12 and under eat for half price on the "meat feast"
We booked for 7.30pm which appeared to be a popular time for most of the restaurants on the strip in Newport but no dramas in getting a park behind the venue (drive past it down barrenjoey rd and follow the signs to do a U circuit to get you in the free parking)
Our reservation (5 adults 1 x 16 yr old and a 13 yr old) was fine and we were soon seated and a pleasant and helpful waitress was helping us with the menu, the process, drinks and generally making sure we were fine.
Key points:-
Venue is busy and bustling but the staff are great...efficient, polite and hard working.
The food was well cooked, well presented, plentiful and you shouldn't come home hungry.
A mixed group in terms of patrons but poplar with groups...we saw a few couple around the place but would suggest not a venue for a first romantic date (unless you are trying to impress with your eating capacity and ability to consume your body weight in meat!)
There are is a varied side order menu (as with the meat - order at will and all you can eat portions) but I'd be surprised if a non-meat eater would get value.
We paid $42 a head for the adults which covered the whole meal including the grilled pineapple at the end and we were turning down offers of other food for probably the last 10 minutes because we'd forgotten to turn the little table "no more" indicator.
A good night, good value, great staff, a band playing in the background (Saturday night) which seemed loud when we first walked in but was fine once we settled in to the vibe of the place.
I wouldn't go every week as it is an "experience" but would certainly put it on my list of trusty "stand by's" and would be happy to recommend to others.
By the way - we initially looked at ordering a birthday cake from the venue (see their website for details) but it was too large for our group so we took our own and they were great in delivering it to the table with the candles we had brought and joined in the "happy birthday" song from our table and the other patrons that joined in.

“Bloody awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013 via mobile

Wow.. if you like your meat, well you'll love Braza.. The service is second to none.. you feel as though the staff are friends with their regular visits to the table and never ending choice of meats and seafood. The staff put my grandmother to shame with their ability to entice you to have just a bit more..

The atomsphere of the restaurant with thief stylish interior and comfortable alfresco dining is the perfect way to spend a night with friends..

Would I return.. absolutely.. why not try it for yourself and you be the judge.

“Great family dining experience at a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

This is one of those rare places that should appeal to everyone.
Great location, great food, comfortable seating & upbeat atmosphere without being too noisy or a turn off to families.
As others have no doubt described this is a fairly unique banquet experience where the waiters circulate with skewers and cut off portions for you at the table which you accept with tongs. Even young kids can get in on this action and they loved choosing their dishes and 'helping' out with the tongs. The food and particularly the meat is delicious - as those who have travelled to South America would expect from a Brazilian BBQ!
This spot is also very close the Darling Harbour kids park which is pumping every well after 9pm. Good for an after-dinner rampage. This one seems to be the pick of the entire strip and was noticeably busier than the surrounding establishments.
I can highly recommended for families, but certainly a very diverse clientele with families a minority.
