Lauren does a great job of guiding her small groups into this now much cleaned-up area of Sydney. My 24 year-old son and I recently did her tour which met at Redfern Station and progressed to Carriageworks Saturday markets. She lives locally and obviously loves the locale and it's people. She will make sure you enjoy your few hours on the tour and you will learn much, as did we, of the local produce and the proud producers. Highly recommended.

We loved the Travelicious Sweet Tooth tour! The Sparkle Cupcakes's velvet cupcake looked and tasted heavenly. The Gelato Messino shop was scruptious. We sampled about 15 different gelatos. Each flavour was so much like the real thing it tasted like a liquid version. Imagine apple pie melting in your mouth. We're Manly folks so regularly visit Adriano Zumbo in Manly. We tasted strange and unique flavoured macarons like Vegemite and white chocolate. We were tempted to try one of their pies but they were sold out, just as well for we savd ourselves for the best pie EVER! At Black Star Pastry we were greated by the lovely pastry chef Maria and were given a try of their Award winning 'best pie in Sydney', lamb shank and red wine which was divine. Then came their de constructed pavlova with tiny mango fruit balls that exploded with flavour inside your mouth. Last of all we tried one of their top-selling cakes, the strawberry and watermelon cake. Layers of almond dacquois and rose-scented cream with a layer of meringue and real watermelon. Light and fresh it was like eating 6 differnt fabulous and delicious cakes.

Our host Lauren was helpful, funny and interesting as was tips and info about each of the places. She certainly knows her foods and eatery!

The tour is a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable way to spend a few hours whilst tantalizing your taste buds! Definitely looking forward to trying some of the other tours!

My sister and I have just completed the sweet tooth tour and we LOVE LOVE LOVED IT! Don't eat anything beforehand. You'd think just because they're sweets they wouldn't fill you up. I was wrong. Portion sizes during each sample stage was quite generous and you have the opportunity to purchase your faves. We got something from each of the 5 places we visited including the Salted Caramel with White chocolate gelato from Messina and The Lamb shank and red wine Pie from Black Star Pastry. Beautiful. I'm not much of a pie eater, but this one was to die for. We even had it cold and the pastry hadn't lost its crunch or turned soggy. Lauren, our guide, was very welcoming and informative throughout the tour and very helpful in the decision making in what was the best choice. She was never wrong. I definitely recommend this tour to those who are sick of the chain stores of the mainstream sweet stores and want to discover something delicious and exciting in Sydney. YUM!

The Travelicious Surrey Hills walking tour was launched yesterday as part of the Crave Festival. My cousin and I went, and we had a great experience. Lauren was a knowledgeable and welcoming guide with an easy manner. We `discovered' delicious coffee, the best cheese shop since France last year, the best muesli experience, a butcher and deli with excellent produce and of course washed it down with a cake indulgence. To top it off we were handed a picnic for a nearby park with enough delicacies to keep me going until the next tour!.
Loved the intimate feel of the tour and the great enthusiasm of the providores who welcomed us warmly and generously gave us their time, their food story, their samples and discounts on a variety of fine produce - if you're going take a trolley.

Value for money with a discount coupon otherwise it be a bit pricey to only visit 4 places. Places visited were lovely but it would have been great to visit more affordable foodie places.
