Looking at the bright and powerful boat, we knew we were in for a good time, and we were not disappointed. Our trip started in Cockle Bay wharf, Darling Harbor, I believe the company runs trips from a number of convenient locations in Sydney Harbor. I booked through an internet adventure company, but the company also had ticket sales from the wharf.
Our driver Allan, greeted the group, helped us to our seats, went through safety aspects and trip details. We were told that the boat will be jumping and performing power slides. Allan also went through the preparation to the power slides so that everyone on board was prepared and knew which direction we will spin.
We took off very slowly through Cockle bay under the Pyrmont Bridge and out to the Harbor Bridge. That alone was awesome.
Very shortly after he opened up the throttle and the adventure began.
After each power slide, Allan would turn around to gauge the passengers reaction, each time everyone wore a beaming smile. There was no reason to voice the obvious. There were slides, fish tales, spins and jump over the waves.
Allan also pointed out areas of significance throughout our trip. On the return we again drifted back to base slowly which gave us another chance to see areas up and close that we wouldn't normally see.
Overall everyone was happy with their trip and we cannot wait to return so our teenage son can enjoy this. This way my wife and I benefit also.
