My partner and i joined the day trip to the Blue Mountains and had a great time. Our guide Ronnie was excellent and funny, even though he had a pretty tough crowd to please. Featherdale was awesome for animal lovers like me as you get right up and close to feed Kangaroos, Emus and Koalas, but you will also see lots of Australias other creatures. The Blue Mountains are stunning place to visit and the selection of walks under and above the cliffs as well as taking in the view of some waterfalls was fantastic. Not to mention the Kooeee we all called out to test the eco and could be heard from all directions from our tour friends. All in all great value for money! Would definitely recommend.

Took a day trip with Colourful trips to Port Stephens for dolphin-watching. The tour guide was Bob. I thought he was really energetic and engaging. As we were slightly ahead of time, Bob took us to Gan Gan Lookout and the view was great. We had a takeaway lunch and boarded the ferry with others. We were able to spot a no. of dolphins. Thereafter, he took us to Stockton beach, which was really beautiful. Having been to Bondi and Manly beach, I think this is better than both beaches. We could choose either camel-riding or 4WD to the sand dunes. I chose the former and the camels were really cute. Overall, it was a good trip.

1 of 10 points for this tour.

At the end the bus driver summarised our tour very correctly:
"This is just a quick overview about the Blue Mountains. If you want to come back then catch a train and do it by yourself"

Thats exactly the advise I can give to you. Catch a train for 17 Dollars there and back again instead of 100 Dollars for this tour.

The tour does absolutely nothing you can't do by yourself and on your own you have at least 8 hours more time if you spent the whole day there. The tour runs from 7 am to 6 pm with at least 2 hours drive each way.

They do only one walking track and then you can pay 10 dollars for a sky rail or you walk the same way back alone.
All the other walking tracks stay undiscovered with this tour.

My advise: Go there from sydney in the morning with the first train at maybe 6 am and come back with the last train at maybe 11pm. You can spend the whole day there without any need to hurry like you need to do with that tour.

Thank you White Eagle for your feedback. You can certainly save money by doing the Blue Mountains on your own and we love it when our customers return to the destinations we visit as all these places are wonderful and our day trip is about showing you the highlights. It appears you're more a DIY traveler as your suggestion to do this trip over 17 hours by jumping on and off buses, trains and walking will certainly exhaust even the fittest traveler! Good luck with your travels.

Yes and I was a trifle blue too. Although it was no fault of the Tour Driver there was a pile up on the M4. But did that mean we were only given about 5-10 minutes to take photos and go to the Loo. Not a good tour, too much driving
