Loved, loved, loved the ambience.... Right from the intriguing entrance (for some reason I had visions of the LCD screen on the door magically making way for an entrance, if I touched the fluttering curtains!) to the dark dining area, which has an awesome romantic feel.

The cocktail menu is really creative and interesting and I would highly recommend the Silk & Sand (glen morangie, cherry brandy, spice and citrus) and rickshaw (gin, hibiscus and vanilla). Lovely flavors that worked very well together. I found the coffee flavor in the Qing Dynasty cocktail (esprsso, chilli, hazelnut and tequila) too overpowering though. They have an excellent wine list of 100 wines, selected to complement the spicy food... And the French Gewürztraminer that we selected worked well.

The food menu has plenty of choice and is meant for sharing... It was difficult to narrow down to 4-5 dishes ( which is what the waitress recommended for 2 people). The fish drowned in heaven facing chillies was just out of this world! Amazing flavours, and not too spicy ( even though the dish is highlighted in red). The fried rice with conpoy was excellent and was great with the fish. The beef fillets with blistered peppers and black beans and the three shot chicken were unfortunately quite disappointing. The mango pudding dessert, though simple, was fantastic... Sooo creamy with just the right amount of mango and served with an excellent caramalied sesame cracker.

The service was courteous and friendly... I felt perhaps they were short staffed so at times it took a little while to get the waitress's attention. But they were really open to feedback... We pointed out that the beef was not cooked medium rare as had been described to us... She apologized and even got us complimentary cocktails.

Felt the food should have been better, given the 150pp bill. Would have rated 3 on food alone, but the service and ambience did add to the overall experience.

Wonderful ! What else to say? Just creative. Fusion at the right level. Good ingredients and blend of spices. Also tried the NYE menu - a real value !!! The only thing I might want improved could be the light in the evening but that's a trendy thing...

Went here for dinner last night with friends.
Great decor & delicious food, but so dark! We all struggled to read the menu.
Had the banquet menu & although the dishes were not huge, it was delicious.
Bit on the expensive side.

Went here for a friend's birthday dinner.

The atmosphere was lovely, mood lighting was effective but a friend spent lots of time squinting at the menu.

Food flavours were diverse. I would not say I left feeling it was the best meal I have eaten.

It was $100 pp which included some wine.

We ate a hot chicken dish with cashews - i forget the menu name but i would def not recommend this. It was a mass of chilli with a rather odd flavour. I'm not sure what the chef was trying to achieve with this dish. The duck was good as were the sides and seafood for those who ate it.

I shared a dessert special which was divine and the highlight of the evening. The service was attentive.

I went because of the interesting food; having eaten a lot of great Asian cuisine, I expected to be pleased more than impressed. At the end of the meal, I was both pleased and impressed. Well seasoned food, described very well by the menu. Spicy was not overwhelming, but instead was balanced. Good cocktails and wine list. A nice, dark, trendy room but not too noisy for conversation. Desserts were sort of "meh"--you can do better elsewhere. Staff was personable but not solicitous or flirty, which would have fit the room better. Overall an outstanding dinner.
