Now this was a keeper!

Amazing innovative menu and a terrific cellar with knowledgeable staff. The incredible spread of menu and range of options was impressive and the presentation matched the hype.

We attended with a family member from the USA for a special occasion mid-week and were mightily impressed. The restaurant was full and although we only had 2 courses each, we can't wait to go back and do the full round soon.

This was my third visit in 12 months, the last two for the Saturday degustation menu with wine pairing. The food was very fresh, skilfully prepared and exquisitely presented. It was heavy on seafood, the relatively simple yet skilful preparation enhancing the freshness, lightness & subtle flavors of the top quality ingredients. There was a strong hint of kaiseki in the presentation & my last visit was omakase without a menu. The wine pairing was excellent & interesting.

Went to Sepia with my partner for a special occasion following great reports about this restaurant. Opting for the full degustation with wines, we were very impressed with the range of food, the subtleties of taste, the extraordinary knowledge of the Sommelier, and the pace of serving what was a big meal. The service was first rate, although a couple of the waiters were a little hard to understand, and the Sommelier's discussion about the styles of wines being served was excellent - of the several varieties of wines tasted, we didn't try one we had encountered before! The only downside was the bill at the end - while we had expected to pay around $500 for the experience, the extra slug for the champagne (2), oysters (only 4) and cheese dish (just one serve) added another $130 which wasn't expected.

The atmosphere, service and most importantly the food was superb. We had the degustation menu and every course was exceptional...the flavours, textures, presentation and creativity of the dishes was out of this world. It is by far the best dining experience I have ever had! I look forward to my next Sepia experience.

Sepia has earned its' three hat award. The degustation menu changes every Saturday night which makes it an even better return restaurant knowing there will be something new on the menu. A marathon effort. Many restaurants don't bother to change their menu seasonally let alone weekly. The four of us (one of whom is Celiac) enjoyed our meals so much and have collectively decided this is the best degustation in Sydney. We've eaten there before, many times over many years but this meal was outstanding and we weren't disappointed with any course, even the eel which I thought I'd never eat. Delicious! The staff and service were very welcoming, attentive but not intrusive and seemed genuinely happy that we were savouring every bite, clearly enjoying the explosion of flavours and artful presentation. Fantastic!
