We stayed here for five nights, the staff was very friendly but unprofessional, finding them making personal calls using the speaker function at the reception even with customers approaching them. In fact they didn´t even hang up when approached with questions.
Our room was located on the same floor as the receptions which was problematic because you could hear people outside the room at all hours, keeping us awake most nights.
The bathroom was very nice but we were told the first day to make sure we did not take long showers and that the door to the bathroom had to be closed whilst showering. If we didn´t we could risk setting of the fire alarm and have to pay the resulting fine. This is fair enough if it was just to close the door but the fact that we could not take long showers (without it being specified how long was "long) meant that we never dared to take showers longer than a couple of minutes.
This is clearly an issue the hotel should be taking steps to repair. No elevator and slow wifire.
It is cheap and the location is great, both in terms of travelling to and from the airport and most of the major sights of Sydney are in walking distance.
They also had a hostel type kitchen for customers to use.More
