Description: There's no question that The Rocks is home to some of Sydney's most intriguing historical stories. And our landmark venue, The Argyle, has a unique, rich history all of its own. The sandstone walls that house The Argyle had seen some interesting sights well before we all hit the dance floor.Situated in one of Australia's oldest buildings, The Argyle is richly historic, while maintaining a uniquely modern take. With five bars held over two levels, we have a variety of areas to suit any mood. Whether you choose to hide away in a booth, gather friends around the high tables, chill out in the lounges or venture in to the open-air cobbled courtyard - the choice is yours. With capacity for up to 1800 guests, it's also the ideal location for large-scale events and celebrations.

Had a burger with chips and a glass of Rose at The Argyle whilst listening to the Sunday night DJ and despite dining alone I had a very enjoyable evening.

Loved the atmosphere of this bar! It was cool and modern but still warm and inviting! The food was delicious! Highly recommend the Wagyu meatballs! Yummy! It was an appetizer but could have been a meal. Portions are quite big, great for sharing.

Had the wagyu burger, I'm pretty sure it wasn't wagyu beef but was ok if not a bit pricey. The drinks were a disgrace, after being served a flat beer which wasn't even poured properly poured (I assumed all bartenders learned to pour a beer as a first off) my girlfriend tried a champagne cocktail. The moron bartender spent too much time averagely flipping bottles around and not concentrating on getting the measures right. $20 for a shot of champagne and some raspberry cordial and loads of ice. What a joke.

Be prepared for crowds jostling past you, bumping into strollers and groups of people that talk and linger. The location at the Quay cannot be faulted, so skip through and wander along the foreshore, right up to the front of the Opera House, bring comfy shoes and a camera.

Had some drinks and a late dinner on a weekday. OK if you go as a group. But awkward to sit and have dinner on the lounge sofa seats. Didn't try the cocktails that they seem to specialize in but it seemed plenty in variety. Service was OK. Value for money is so-so. Nothing spectacular except the size of the place if you included the courtyard. There are many other options in the neighborhood so this place unfortunately does not come to the top of my list.
