This is an excellent way to get around. The Ferries are quick, efficient, on time and lots of them.
Didn't dislike any of it.

“Good way of getting from one side of Sydney to the other”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

Whether you catch a slow ferry or hydrofoil-the views are spectacular. One needs to allow enough time to get to the chosen destination, as they could be long queues- especially in the summertime.

“Good fun”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

The weather wasn't great when we visited Sydney so we purchased a day ticket for the ferries. What a great way of seeing more of the surrounding districts, you can hop on and off as many times as you like. We sailed as far as we could one way and again in the opposite direction. As a bonus they have free wifi on the ferries, what a great idea! Certainly good value for money.

“On time / Gets you where you need to be”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

Manly ferry service has phone chargers, tv with the news on etc. Wifi, on board cafe, what more can you ask for.
Always on time. Staff are good.
If your visiting for a week or going to be going more than a few places get a MyMulti ticket. This allows you to get any bus / ferry & trains to a certain radius for a whole week.

“Buy an all day ticket and use it to the full”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

The best value buy for a tourist new to Sydney is an all day Zone 2 pass at $21. Take the ferry to Parramatta and get some idea of how incredibly extensive the harbour is. See the wonderful waterside houses and the huge amount of activity on the water. Don't bother stopping in Parramatta, just stay on and come back to Circular Quay where all the ferries start. Then go over to Manly on the regular ferry and in half an hour you can walk down the Corso from the harbour to the beach on the Pacific. Back again and you could do worse than visit Darling Harbour, again by ferry where there are numerous attractions. Unbeatable value and as authentic as any part of Sydney.
