We stayed one night for purpose of doctor's appointment on the 2nd August 2012. Absolutely filthy, mould all over the room and cobwebs everywhere. The curtains wouldn't close, airconditioner didn't work on heat and there was no hot water for a showers. Although we paid $65 for the room, it wasn't even worth $30. I would not recommend it even to a backbacker.

I stayed one night at the Arosa Motel in Coffs Harbour on 26th April 2012 after a long motorcycle ride from Canberra. I arrived at nightfall and paid AUD $60.00 for a ground level room (#3) close to reception. The room itself had two single beds, a flat screen TV, coffee/tea making facilities (no toaster though), and a clean bathroom. The main drawback, however, was the room’s close proximity to the Pacific Highway and the associated noise level during the night. It was mainly trucks which prevented me from getting undisturbed sleep. I departed very early and had breakfast elsewhere. In summary, the Arosa Motel provides clean but basic accommodation for any weary traveller. Consider earplugs or ask for a room as far away from the main road as possible.

Room Tip: Ask for a room as far away from the Pacific Highway as possible

We stopped in for one night on our way to QLD. The room was filthy, mould even on the lamps. The small room was absolutely filthy, even cups dirty! Pool closed for maintenance! I do not recommend this place even for just one night! Yuk!!

We only stay now at the Arosa, it's very clean, friendly, VERY comfy beds, this is our 2nd stay here this Easter weekend, 7/4/12. Our 1st stay was January 2012 on our way home from Sydney to Ballina
Only cost $140 for 2 sleep nights.
Maybe a bit of traffic noise from H'way, but when your so tired, it don't matter, one can sleep very well.
Close to town center, great Restaurants, clubs, pubs & entertainmet, great fishing & lovely beache's.
We recommend it, we will come again.
Thank you Management & Staff of the Arosa Motel.

We pulled into this motel because we were exausted from driving back to QLD from Sydney.
We were charged $75.00 by the manager that looked like the freak from Faulty Towers (but this guy wasn't acting) for one night which we thought was reasonable, until we got into the room!
The microwave was filthy, the lights were full of dead bugs, the beds smelt dirty, the shower screen was completely white with soap scum, the bathroom had chips out of the fittings and that were full of mould, the tap ran all the time, there were midgies in the bathroom because there were no fly screens, the ceiling fan blades were covered in about 2cm of dust, the airconditioner vents looked like they had never been cleaned, there was no smoke detector in the room, and to top it off, one of the pillow cases had blood from what appeared to be a bloody nose on it and hadn't been changed.
The constant noise from the traffic and trucks brakes and gear changes kept me awake most of the night, even though I voiced my concerns to the manager about the noise upon our arrival, he assured us that it was just because everyone was going home for the evening.
In the morning, we couldn't get out of there quick enough and to top it off, as we were running away from the filth, we discovered just down the road, for $3 more, we could have stayed in something far more hygenic and comfortable!

Room Tip: Go down the road to the next place!

This is the most disgusting, filthy firetrap we have ever stayed at. We booked via Quickbeds and was charged $140 for a room with a double and a couple of single bed - What a bloody rip-off!. Seeing the room was absolutely a disappointment. I have never stayed anywhere so filthy and dangeous before. The level of service was so poor it would have made Basil Fawlty from "Fawlty Towers" look like an angel.
NOT TO BE RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE. My next complaint will go to the authorities to check this place out and Shut it Down!

We paid $95 online for a supposed queen room, on arrival saw the same advertised outside at $65. We queried this and were given a cock and bull story about that rate being for a room for four people, despite the board clearly stating otherwise. Bad start. It only got worse. The room looked as though it existed in a timewarp. The furnishings and fittings were old fashioned, drab, mostly filthy and covered in dust, walls hadn't been cleaned for years on the face of it. The fridge would not be out of place on the antiques roadshow. The electrical socket for the aircon was very loosely fixed to the wall, and the cable for the bedside lights (one of which didn't work anyway even when I swapped the bulb over) came out of a large hole in the wall behind the bed. There was a toaster but no plate to use if you wanted to make a piece of toast in the morning as we intended. The manager seemed surprised that we wanted to actually use the toaster, but did eventually supply a couple of plates. The cups and saucers were all non matching.
In summary, this place is a nightmare, there are much better places in Coffs at this price. If only I had remembered where we had stayed on a previous trip through Coffs some years ago, we would never have chosen this dump.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else!
